Organic without the hippy factor Feeling like your liver needs a little lovin’? With not a hippy in sight this local favourite is the place for wholesome, healthy AND delicious brekkies, lunches and takeaways. With an interesting menu also featuring a soup and main of the day, Organic To Go is guaranteed to be attractive to even the most ardent meat lover/junkfood king or queen — yes, there are even meat/fish based foccacias, wraps and piadinas! On numerous occasions, from soup to wraps to salads I have been impressed by the freshness and flavour and the added bonus of very reasonable prices. You could even detox with a fresh veggie juice and then head on straight to the organic coffee and healthyish, low cal(well close your eyes) desserts. Relieve the guilt of all those last minute, mid week emergency junk food meals and cleanse yourself of all sin by buying something for dinner as well(or choose from their comprehensive range of organic produce).

Organic To Go on Glen Osmond Road make a damn fine cup of coffee. Their coffee is organic which means you can have an extra cup because it simply must to be good for you. Coffee’s not the only thing on the menu at Organic To Go. There’s a selection of tasty salads, quiches, veggie dishes and wraps on offer with plenty of seating inside so you can sit down and enjoy your meal or you can take away if you prefer. After you’ve had your veggies you should indulge in one of their great deserts on offer. Once again I subscribe to the theory that these deserts are organic … therefore good for you … therefore contain zero calories — if only! As well as a café, Organic To Go have a good range of healthy groceries on their shelves. There’s everything from free range eggs, to dairy goods and gluten free products as well as organic fruit and veggies. Organic To Go is also kid friendly with room for prams to move between the tables and a box of toys for the little ones to have a play with while mum sips her coffee. Parking on Glen Osmond Road can be a little on the treacherous side so I suggest whizzing around the corner into the nearby side street to park.
