Basically every café in Adelaide from about 2008 is a Cibo Espresso. They have a great range of cakes and savouries to go with coffees, teas and juices and if there’s a long line, well maybe just have some gelati :)

I have been going there for many years and haven’t had any complaints. If I did, the staff would sort it immediately. The long wait for coffee is a testament to how popular it is. I have noticed that the newspapers aren’t free to read anymore and that the cutlery hasn’t always been accessible. I guess being used to a standard had made me a tad picky. For a one-off coffee, it’s a lovely place and the staff are really nice and great to chat to but there are a few things that are deteriorating. Hopefully the little things will pick up again.

great selection of coffees! and desserts and I liked the atmosphere of this particular location — hip and cool and something from old vintage diners.

Situated in Mosley Square, I find this Cibo, fantastically convenient, which is arguably the best part of it. The Coffee is good, but not incredible, you just need to be lucky enough to get a good barista working. The food on offer is of decent stature as well, the gelati an obvious highlight. The service is great, with all staff very well mannered and welcoming, worth the visit if you’re about Jetty Road.

I don’t drink coffee, but I do eat Italian gelati, preferably while roaming the cobbled streets of Firenze. However on the days(or lifetimes) that’s out of the question, Cibos at Glenelg is the next best thing. Lovingly coddling my little coloured cup full of creamy, icy, goodness, sitting under an umbrella in Moseley Sq on a sunny day, it don’t get much better than that. In a nutshell — only the seagulls can ruin this moment!

Cibo at Glenelg is an incredibly popular café. Go there on any weekend and coffee seekers can sometimes be lined up 10 deep in a wait to order their caffeine fix. Funnily enough the crowds never put me off, rather its part of the charm of the place. Located inside the site of the old Glenelg Post Office building, there’s something very quaint about the building itself. With loads of table space both inside and out its almost like Cibo is two different places. There is one atmosphere if you’re sitting at the tables outside and a totally different feel when you’re sitting inside — talk about the best of both worlds. Sit outside if you’re in the mood for some people watching. Despite the large turnover of people you can nearly always grab a table out there and the passing parade is entertainment at its best. Sit inside if its really hot, really cold or if you’re looking for a little quiet time. On the menu, I’m always up for a skinny cap or sometimes a long black with a jug of milk on side. Love the fact they always ask do I want my milk hot or cold. Cibo also do the best affogatto and you can’t go past their selection of deserts. Frequented by many a well known face from local AFL teams, Cibo at Glenelg is a virtual icon in the Adelaide café scene. Love it!

Cibo’s at Glenelg is in one of the best locations. Situated in the heart of Moseley Square where all the action is. It is a great place for chilling out on a sunny day and watching the passing parade. On a good day you can watch children playing in the fountains or the beautiful(and not so beautiful) people walking by in their bathers. Glenelg Cibo is run by a brother/sister combination, Grace and Tony. Tony is usually about the place and is easy to spot, by his smile and the fact that he is quite possibly the shortest person behind the counter. He is always happy to exchange a few pleasantries even when it is busy(which is often). Cibo gets over run by cyclists in the mornings and, if you are one of this lycra clad brigade there is a great place to store your pride and joy when you hop off. If you aren’t into outdoor seating, or the weather is inclement, there is a large indoor section with extremely high ceilings, a left over from what was formerly the old Post Office. The coffee use to be a bit inconsistent but has improved of late and is now signature, rich, creamy Cibo coffee. They do great Iced Coffees and a wonderful summer coffee drink called a Shakerato which is coffee shaken with Ice and syrup, then poured into a small glass. It is surprisingly good and dairy free. They also serve a good range of savoury and sweet food. I particularly like their spinach and cheese Ripiena’s.
