I love this shop, but it’s one of those shops I actually don’t buy from often. It might sound strange, but we all have those shops which we always recommend but we don’t necessarily have much that we’ve bought from them, right? The stock is quirky and fun, or gorgeous and unique. It can be a bit pricey, but I can guarantee you’re buying a gift that person will always remember!

The name is well suited to the interior of this fantastic shop. It is filled with oddities, lots of cute and funny dust-collectors, gorgeous stationary, kids toys and some brilliant pieces like a traditional magnifying glass for reading that sits on the book pages(see photo). I love poking around this store to see what’s new, and to laugh at my old favourites. There are a few china models of cows dresses up as ladies that always make me laugh, and a set of three bunnies doing the«See No Evil» routine. Bunnies? Genius! They also sell very detailed printed paper, which could be expensive wrapping paper or used to line books or boxes, or as card decorations. This store makes me happy, because it’s every changing, ever interesting.

Wow. That’s what you might think as you enter this place. The layout is spectacular. It’s a feast for the eyes. It’s the jolliest cluster I’ve ever seen. There were air balloon miniatures hanging from the roof. Air balloons! There is a range of toys and other dust collectors, and they’re fitting a Christmas theme this time of year. The staff are busy rearranging the store, but that didn’t stop them from being happy to help me look around and pick up some gifts for some of my loved ones who are into this sort of crap. The music didn’t quite fit the theme of the place(it wasn’t playing Christmas carols, but it was nice and unusual nevertheless. It seemed to follow a tribal theme, with loud drums, clanging sticks, and unfamiliar voices. There’s plenty here to choose from, readers. It’s definitely worth a browse or two.

This store is located on the corner of Jetty Road(half way down) and Byron Street. You won’t be able to miss the bright green signage. When I walked in here there was music playing in a different language, I still don’t know what language but it made me feel as if I was somewhere else. The bits and pieces inside this store include journals, greeting cards, cushions, candles, home-wares and kids toys. They are sourced from Australia and around the world, so you will find things here that you probably won’t be able to find in any other Adelaide shop. Perfect for gifts or finding something unique for your home. I’ve only been here once, but plan to go back soon :)
