A pretty standard hotel, the food wasn’t bad but could have been better, service wasn’t great though as you had to get your own plates and cutlery if you were sitting outside. Drinks were reasonably priced and there were good specials. Not bad but could be better.

Once the place to be in Gosnells, the Gosnells Hotel has been through a very rough patch after being sold, run into the ground, and then sold again to ALH. While the restaurant has come along leaps and bounds since being purchased by ALH, there is still alot to be done. The majority of times we have been in recent months we have had to deal with some sort of customer service issue. The food is decent, average pub food but inconsistent. There is a group of staff(mostly left over from the previous owners) who could probably do with eother some reminders about customer service or shown the door. As a good news /bad news story, they have recently installed a children’s playground inside the restaurant. This is fantastic for families who want to take their kids out to dinner, not so good for the childless people trying to enjoy dinner without the noise of children playing. It’s not terrible but it’s not fantastic either. Pity there isn’t much else in the area to help them lift their game.

The Gosnells Hotel has a great atmosphere for a pub. The restaurant has some great dishes, a large dance floor and a well stocked bar. They have a DJ or Karaōke, depending on the day of the week. They have also transformed a Melbourne Tram into a kids club section. There are Playstations, colouring in and cartoons playing during the day. The Sports Bar is a little small for my taste, but it does have 2 pool tables and a big screen tv showing multiple sports during the day. They also have a number of tables outside facing Albany Hwy when you want to enjoy a nice sunny Perth day. You used to be able to cook your own meat, but last time I was here it had disappeared.
