Contrasts Hair Studio

Contrasts is a small, suburban hair salon in The Grange. I’ve always had a soft spot for Contrasts because I walk past here nearly every day and they always have cute little messages on their A-​frame blackboard sign out the front. It says things like ‘3 haircuts til Xmas’. Despite walking past so often and always thinking the atmosphere in there looked very welcoming and admiring their relatively late opening hours (for The Grange, anyway) I hadn’t actually ever been inside until last year when I needed a last minute wash and blow-​dry before a wedding.
When I did finally go to Contrasts, I found the atmosphere and staff to be just as friendly and welcoming as they seemed from the outside. The prices were very reasonable and I was very happy with the service both in terms of the staff and the result I got. I always appreciate places that make an effort to fit you in at short notice and Conrasts gets full marks in that department. I still walk past often, enjoy their blackboard messages, and now I know that when I need some hair-​love at short notice, Contrasts is ideal.
