We have given this place a try a couple of times for a family dinner with the kids. I’m not sure why this place seems to be so popular. I didn’t think their food was anything special and the barn like atmosphere was so noisy that we could not hear each other talk. It was a miserable evening both times and we’ll not be returning. There are much better options in the area!

I’ve been here a few times, the most recent for brunch. Service was very slow(20 mins til we get to order anything) and it was not busy, our orders came out wrong also. Quality seems to have changed since my last visit

Rococo’s have three restaurants across Melbourne; two in St Kilda and one in Hawthorn. Tonight I went to the one in Hawthorn which is about the sixth time I’ve been here. I love it because the food is always tasty, and service is quite good. They say on the menu that they don’t make alterations, but if it’s a simple request, I’ve always found them somewhat accommodating. I started tonight with their garlic, herb and mozzarella bread which to me, is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. It is incredibly delicious(and hopefully calorie and carb free as I ate the whole ½ portion). For my main, I ordered their gnocchi with mushroom and basil, and I asked them to include chicken in it which they happily did. It was really tasty and the gnocchi was super soft and you could taste that it was homemade. Their desserts are heavenly(hopefully also calorie free), and there’s a great selection. Since I wasn’t overly hungry at this stage(but just wanting something sweet), I asked if I could just get a couple of scoops of ice cream. The ice cream is simply delicious and creamy. I had the banana and the cherry and both were just what I needed to finish off a really good meal. The service here can be hit or miss. Tonight we were fortunate enough to have a good waitress and the food came out in a timely manner. It’s a crowded restaurant but you can hear yourself think. Parking can be a real B*^%$, but once you’ve found a parking space and settled at your table, you can relax with their great range of wines and just relax. You are guaranteed to have an enjoyable time :-)

A restaurant that charges $ 3.60 for 4 stale pieces of bread. In addition to a lasagna that was more sauce than pasta. No thanks.

Randomly walked into Rococo one summer evening and we were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! We had a pizza with sausage and broccoli, and a lasanga. Both were piping hot, aesthetically pleasing, and delicious. I think there are a few trendier places on the street but Rococo has ample space, friendly staff, and really good food.

This place is out of control expensive. I just ordered a meatball pasta with gluten free pasta and it came in at $ 30.50. Yep $ 30.50. Never coming back again.

Rococo is one of my go-to places for any number of outings; whether it be dinner with friends, a family meal or simply a catch-up over coffee, Rococo has comfortable and intimate. I have always found the staff attentive and polite, and have never waited more than 15 minutes for a meal there. My go to meal is the delicious Gnocchi Al Pomodoro — fluffy gnocchi in a hearty tomato sauce, a meal that is filling but not heavy. I also recommend the dips platter as a starter or an accompaniment to drinks. And for dessert, do not pass up the Sundae

A good job but has potential to be better. The atmosphere suits a variety of purposes: dates, family outings, quick drink. Cute candles, big and small tables, alfresco dining, all needs are catered for. Food is decent, the dips and bread is a sure winner. Pasta is good, pizza is thicker crust and not as delicate as other offerings, it’s a bit dry. Service has always been ok, except the most recent visit. Minor details aside, eye rolling and refusal to make eye contact lost this place a star. Looking forward to re-reviewing after next visit.

This busy restaurant achieves a great ambiance. The food is great really well plated. Try the apple and passion fruit mojito.

Great place for wholesome food, ranging from a large selection of antipastos through delicious salads and pasta. Coffee is great too. Seating inside and outside. Recommend any salad and the meatballs on the antipasto selections.

I didn’t try the food but I did have a rather excellent soy cappuccino here. For that with the pleasant, classy-but-not-sniffy ambience, I award 4 stars. Bravo.

I’ve been here a couple of times now and have to admit that Rococo has a charm to it. If you drive up Glenferrie Road on any night and glance at this place it is guaranteed that it is packed and doing a roaring trade. Rococo serves up enormous plates of pasta and risotto as well as some delicious pizzas. The appetisers are great too — creamy arancini and grilled calamari hit the spot. I have to say that I prefer the pizzas to the pastas. The prices are reasonable and the different toppings are varied and a perfect meal for sharing or just for yourself. The pastas are fine, but a little overpriced and the quality isn’t as hot as they say it is. Service is okay and can be hit or miss. It seems fast and reasonably efficient but lacks charm and warmth. Definitely a solid three star venue that is great for large groups.
