Came here on a Wednesday night and was surprised when we were the only people in the restaurant for the hour and a half we were there. I like that the whole restaurant is open to the street, but even so it got really hot inside when they had the grill going. Service was fine and we got the Hibi, which included chicken, shrimp, fish, filet and all the sides and salads. Overall the food was pretty good but I wanted a bit more of a show from the chef. May have been that we were the only people in the restaurant, but coming from Benihana in America, I expected more. The first trick was having us catch a raw egg in a bowl. It’s was actually quite funny because one of the waitresses came over with a dustpan, indicating people often miss the eggs. For the second trick he made us catch our bowls of fried rice, which was also pretty cool Good for a group of friends but maybe go on the weekend!

The food here is pretty good but it’s the fun atmosphere that got us back to this restaurant for the 2nd time. The service here is HORRIBLE! You have to ask the waitresses who speak little English many times to bring you menus, water, your drinks. Anything. I honestly don’t know how they have a job. As an example, the waitress came to me and asked me(I was with a large group) if we were ready to order. We weren’t even given any menus. I asked her if we could get some and she handed just me a menu. When I told her we all wanted to eat she grabbed menus for about 5 out of the 12 people at the table. Guess she wanted us to share? It then took her 10 minutes to get us water and we were the only table in the restaurant at the time. Trying to get a drink is difficult as well. Next time we will find another Teppanyaki restaurant that has better service because there are others around.
