I’m not really a fan of Sorrento Boat Harbour, I’m a bit of a grumpy old woman to come here on a regular basis. You have to spend ages trying to find a park and when you finally out. Then actually trying to navigate a pram through this crowd is frustrating to say the least. I know there are loads of shops and eateries here, but I find they are just selling overpriced rubbish. Saying that, you can get some tasty fish and chips around, and the little sheltered beach is great for toddlers. If you have friends or family come over from overseas bring them here, they will probably love it. Every time I speak to my mother in law in England she always mentions what a lovely time she has here, and each time she comes to Perth we have to take her, it is definitely a hit with the tourists.

Sorrento Quay is the key(to the heart of Hillarys) This is both a boating dock and a shopping hot spot– completely decked out with restaurants, retail stores, boutiques, pharamcies, travel and news agencies– quite a luxurious port by any standards. While exploring the shop riddled interior, it would be easy to forget you were at a quay at all, were it not for the wooden boardwalk that circumnavigates the space. In essence this is a well placed, boat friendly shopping complex. During the day the shops breath life into the quays interior and as the sun sets and the stores close the exterior reclaims the centre stage to dazzle and satisfy with it’s beautiful scenery. This is a lively and unique place, both inside and out. Any time of day or night, the Sorrento will wow you. Hilarrys harbour would be half of what it is, without the Sorrento Quay and the quay without its’ boardwalk would be floating markets. Sorento Quay is the most romantic, boat accessible shopping complex I have ever seen!
