Have been here on more than one occasion, this place is always busy, packed with diners. Always a good sign. My last visit was on one Good Friday, knowing this place would be one of a few places that opens on Good Friday, I came here confidently without calling first, glad I was right and straight away I was met with a queue(of course, what did I expect!). The menu is extensive. It’s safe to say whatever craving you have for Chinese they got it covered! I went and order one of their cold appetiser, Tofu with Preserved Egg. It’s a cold dish of sliced silken tofu drizzled with soy sauce and topped with mushrooms, diced century or preserved egg and chopped spring onions. I definitely enjoyed it. Then I had the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup for main. It was the right amount of spice, the beef was tender and full of flavour. I also had some Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and Pork and Chive Dumplings as side dishes to share. They were average. Suffice to say I had better. I may not be a fan, but that’s not to say that I won’t come back, because their Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup is worth coming back to!

Ok where do I start lol well get here early to fight for a table as they are always super busy(there’s a bench on the street outside). I’ve never waited longer then 20mins but it worth it, on arrival you can see the lovely ladies hand making the dumpling in the front window that’s half the fun. Also make sure you get a ticket off the lady at the counter or you’ll be standing around for ever. Anyway try the dumplings any of them because they are all great and very cheap you about 12. Or try any of the other dishes from their menu that looks more like a catalogue :)

Wasn’t sure what the deal with this place is and why there were so many people lining up to get in so decided to take a chance. Realised it’s the only game in town offering mainland food for cheap with the same level of service, which explains the clientele whom, most likely, consider customer service an «entirely optional» part of a restaurant. We ordered the sweet & sour barramundi — one of my wife’s favourites during our time in China. It didn’t come. The salt & pepper squid was flavourless and soggy. Positives? It’s sort of cheap. I’m not going to bother finishing the rest I this review — all this talk of food I didn’t get /turned out crap has me wanting to order it at a decent restaurant.
