This was my first time to The Pot and definitely my last. It was a special pre set menu that the restaurant has at the end of every month. It was $ 95 for probably one or two too many courses with the main issue being the quality of food and very bad service. I expressed my disappointment of the food and the response I received was something I would not even expect from KFC. «Well no one else has complained about it», absolutely deplorable response and would not be surprised if this is the same approach at its sister restaurants! This place is in need of major customer service training. $ 500 down the drain!

I had a really great night here! The food and the drinks were all delicious; there were plenty of flavour combinations which confused me when I read them on the menu, but ended up being just incredible. The waiters really know their stuff and make it their business to ensure you have a good night. The only downside I can see is that, being a small venue, it can feel a bit crowded and noisy on the busier nights. But I think their system of having two dinner«sessions» per night helps to keep the crowds under control. People have already written such glowing reviews that I don’t think I can add much more except to say that this place should definitely be on your«to try» list if it’s not already!

Outstanding food and service! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They happily explain the dishes and are great at recommendations! The food is simply amazing and probably best to share with the table. We had several smaller plates and shared amongst us. The duck rolls are great as our the pot buns. Desserts are also so tasty and I recommend the passion fruit soufflé. The atmosphere is also comfortable and intimate with a mix of tables and bar style seating at high tables.

I love the atmosphere here and the team are so lovely and helpful. Great wine list and quite a diverse menu. We went for mains each, however i would recommend sharing plates as an option, as we found the dishes a little bit meat heavy. This is no reflection of the quality of the meal, had a salad or veg plate option been suggested we probably would’ve grabbed one! The food was delicious and came out very quickly. The pork belly looked delicious and mum thoroughly enjoyes the lamb ribs. I had the mac and cheese with slow cooked lamb. Definitely yummy but certainly needed a salad accompaniment. I will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu! I saw the duck spring rolls on another table and they look ah-may-zing! I also noticed everyone dresses quite nice when dining at The Pot… just a heads up!

Had dinner here last night for a friends birthday. The food service and atmosphere was great. We all ordered the chefs selection and the variety was fantastic. A great wine list with a choice of some lovely craft beers.

What a shame! Was expecting a lot from this place having heard it was a spot to check out in Adelaide! Yes it has good food but the service was just bad! We sat down and waited for our meal to arrive and by dessert time we were told«you only had 20 minutes left». Never once we were asked if we wanted dessert, isn’t this the top of any meal?! When the waitress asked the manager if we could stay a little longer we were given the straight«NO»! These guys could have easily made $ 100 on top of the bill, but hey, they lost customers, an extra tip and definitely a bad word of mouth from our mates back in Sydney. They say Sydneysiders are stuck up?! Ahhhh think again. I think this place need to get their customer service out of the ‘pot’.

Had lunch here today and the service was great, the food delicious and the atmosphere was trendy! As I did not have a much to spend, the $ 18 burger and onion rings was a good price and tasted so good that I will never pay that much for a normal pub burger again. The onion rings were the best I have had — a tempura batter rather than crumbed. A lovely place to spend an hour or so and you have to finish with the passionfruit soufflé! The staff seemed to really enjoy working there too.

The Pot has got the right combination of interesting and delicious food + great wine list + great service + nice vibe. However, I found some of the dishes(small plates) were pricey(e.g.$ 11EACH for a tiny deep fried duck spring roll) for such a restaurant. They had a themed food + wine dinners, the last one being Duck & Pinot on the last Friday of March(I think) which was good value but I haven’t seen any advertised since then and their website is not up to date. I’d go back again since it’s in my ‘hood and I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience there, but at that price point and since I’m new to Adelaide, I am keen to try others before heading back.

The Pot is a different kind of place. Some of the food combinations seem a little strange and contrary at first, but then somehow work on the plate. They were quite accommodating to our party of five — most of the dishes are designed to serve four, but they gave us extra. The sliders(buns) were crispy and moist, the fried chicken was also a standout. The duck spring rolls were overpriced and were just ok. The pork belly is juicy, flavourful and filling. Go to The Pot with an open mind and a full wallet and you’ll be happy.

It really is a melting pot full of peculiarly combined ingredients in small, a bit bigger and biggest dishes all made for sharing between 2 or more friends. I had heard service of food and wine was so efficient that we decided to play the«order as we go» game and was not disappointed. A lot of our ordering was done based on what the waitress recommended and I was surprised that things which sounded not bad were outstandingly good — probably due to the freshness of produce. My recommendations? — Order wine by the glass, there is plenty of it and you can pair your wines with the share plates. — Get the Kingfish sashimi in coconut milk with coriander and the pepper crusted barramundi wings, soy, chilli, shallot dressing as minimum for starters. — Get Blue Swimmer Crab Parpadelle. It is better than my Italian in-laws make being light, melt in your mouth strands of joy and the crab wasn’t overloaded in the dish nor was it sparsely disappointing. You probably won’t feel like sharing that dish though! Every dish is made to share, so you don’t end up fighting over 3 arancini balls nor wondering where the rest of the meal is. The dishes are fresh, quick and bit sized, this is a wonderful place to spend time in on a winters evening with a cosy, candle lit atmosphere suitable for a group of sharing, caring friends.

The Pot serves tapas, but with a modern and often slightly quirky twist. Most of the tapas contain a strange combination of ingredients, often a mix of sweet and savoury. For example the barramundi, which is served with marscapone, asparagus and capers. You really have to step out of your comfort zone when eating here. When I went, we asked what we should order and the waiter gave us recommendations. We went with all of them and were happily surprised. Everything tasted amazing. Somehow even the weird mix of ingredients fitted perfectly. They have very limited vegetarian options here, but they are willing to alter a few dishes to be meat free! The service we received when we went here was impeccable. Even though it was very busy, the waiter came up to us regularly, filling up our water, offering more drinks and ensuring all the food was ok. He recommended amazing dishes, as well as wines that went well with everything. He was friendly and even made a joke or two.

We ordered a few small dishes to start up, ultimately all of them we ravaged within a few minutes and more dishes were on the way. The serves are perfectly sized and absolutely delicious for the price. The duck crêpe was something different, but succulent and tender. The services was first-class all night as we sat back and enjoyed good conversation.
