On a Friday night I went out to the Prince of Wales in support of a couple of a few young local bands. The section we were in was a medium sized room that looked like it was reserved for functions. The bartenders were pretty good but there was a limited choice of liquor on tap and in the fridge. This was made up by the relative cheapness of jugs that were around $ 10. The PA system was pretty dismal and the sound in the room was pretty inaudible for live music. When I got a chance to walk around the rest of the empty pub, I saw there was a games room and another bar with a few of the old boys watching the trots on the television. I’ll assume that during the daytime when the bistro is open that there are a lot more people here, but as a place to go at night I probably wont come back here again.
