Excellent food. Wagyu brisket burger was incredible and just the right amount of juicy. Keralan and chickpea salad was so delicious. Leighton took care of us really well. Super friendly and attentive with an awesome moustache and infectious smile

Dreadful. Upon arrival shown to a dirty table with not enough chairs. Took 30 minutes for our meal order to be taken. No cutlery. White and raspberry muffin dense and dry. Coffee order slow to arrive. One teaspoon to share. Very quick to present the bill and then suggested we might move to another area to finish our meal so they could prep for lunch. Appalling!!!

Coffee is always reliable, and have often stopped here to grab a cup on the way to work. However my two dine-in experiences weren’t as good as my daily reliable coffee. Service is ok, food is ok, but there is nothing that stands out to make this an experience to have over some other great Brisbane surburban offerings. This is a great looking space for a conference venue though, which is certainly part of what they do. 4 star for coffee, 2 star for dine-in, evens out at 3 stars!

I have been going to The Nook since it first opened. I have to admit, it is not as good as it was back then. Have had some really good food, but sometimes its hit and miss. Coffee has always been pretty good. Think they need to ramp up the customer service a little more to keep everyone happy.

My Friend and I decided to go here for breakfast and we were so disappointed. We got there at about 8:15am and asked to sit outside– there were very few people here at the time. We were taken to a table that still had all the stuff from the previous diners on it. The guy took everything away but the table was still very dirty, he said he would clean it for us but he never came back. When the girl came to take our drink orders I had to ask her to please clean the table for us. She poured us some water but in the glass she poured me, she tipped it over the railings and then filled it up again and sat it down. Don’t know what that was about? We both ordered a coffee and a cold drink each, it took a long time for them to come out and when my Watermelon Quencher came out I took two sips and noticed the glass mason jar that it came in was totally filthy. In the bends of the glass there was some kind of gunk stuck to them. I finally got the attention of the waitress and showed her and she agreed it wasn’t nice. Offered me another one but I declined. The waiter finally came back and took our orders, we both had ‘The Nook’ breakfast. Again, it took ages to come out and when they did we were both very disappointed. The lady had to go and get some cutlery for us. The bacon was so cooked it was uneatable. Basically cremated. The rest of the food was very underwhelming and not hot when it got to us. The ciabatta bread wasn’t even cut in half, we had to do that ourselves. The only thing that I feel that the Nook has going for it is the actual building, its very pretty with a beautiful breeze going through it. The food was very overpriced for what it was. Luckily I was not charged for the quencher that I ordered, so thats a bonus I guess! I definitely will not be going back here again.

Went for breakfast. Not an extensive breakfast menu but it covers all the usual things you would expect. As I am a huge fan of Eggs Benedict, I went with it and it came stacked high on pumpkin seed toast, very yum. Coffee was good too. I would go back.

Don’t laugh but my reason for coming here was because my husband and I have a running joke about the phrase ‘Nook and cranny’. I pronounce ‘cranny’ the way it is spelt ‘crane –y’ where is he pronounces it ‘cranny’ to rhyme with ‘granny’. The joke is lame but fortunately the food is not. This café has a modern Thai feel with dark wooden furniture and a breezy alfresco area, perfect for people watching. We ordered the Eggs Benedict which admittedly was not the best that I’ve tasted but the bread was fantastic. I think it was pumpkin seed toast. We washed down the unhealthy Eggs Benedict with some freshly squeezed juice. Forget boring orange juice. We had mint and ginger. Delish! The corn fritter was disappointing though as it was too doughy with not enough corn sprinkled through for texture but fortunately the chorizo sausage saved the dish thus proving one of my all-time rules for cooking. When in doubt, a bit of fat can save anything.

I was super excited when The Nook opened in place of the Night Owl that once was. We were excited to finally have a cool looking caffe restaurant in the daggy little Jindalee Shopping Centre. We wondered in on a hot as anything Queensland Sunday and were intrigued by the random gift shop in the front of the restaurant. Here you may indulge in some airy shirts or nice smelling bath soaps and living home type goods. Through the glass doors we were seated right in front of the kitchen… not the best place but it was okay. My husband ordered a kid sized chocolate milkshake and when it arrived the waiter asked me if my husband would like it in a paper cup. I was a tad confused but went along with whatever and he slapped my husband on his back after in good humour. I cringed a little and thought he was a bit rude… but tally-Ho, on we go. The bruschetta was delightful, with yummy balsamic and olive oil, the Angus steak with asparagus came out with broccoli I instead… still tasted good. The prawn linguini was very tasty indeed I stole more off my husbands plate. All in all, the service was fast, besides the flies flying around us the whole time we were eating, the food was quite nice. Lunch ranges from $ 18-$ 27 and you won’t be disappointed in the food. I’ll be back in the future but only for a treat.

The Nook Caffe is a wonderful family restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch and more recently, dinner. The serve all the café favourites and do good coffees too! Their lunch and dinner menu’s are largely inspired by Italian and Mediterranean cuisine and it’s divine. One of my favourites is the ‘Pan Fried Scallops with salad of roasted Cauliflower’. So fresh and delicious! The restaurant is still relatively new to Jindalee but definitely a great addition. It has a pleasant and friendly feel with the modern and trendy interiors. Very attentive staff too. It makes dining here a very enjoyable experience, every time.
