Breakfast was delicious at Gipsy Boy this morning. My wife and I had the Brekky enchilada and the Avocado bruschetta. Coffee was hot and strong with no hint of bitterness and the staff were friendly and attentive. This is our new fav place.

Cute little café hidden in Joondalup. I love the idea of being able to shop for clothes while I wait for my food to arrive. If you are looking for a great place to catch up for a coffee, gipsy boy is the place. They make delicious coffees and serve tea in beautiful antique tea cups.

Coffee. I came for coffee and it was very good. The barista clearly knew what they were doing. I had to hand in my man card at door as the décor is an eclectic tea house with a strong feminine vibe. It was worth it though.

Great little café, love how nice they are and the fact that it’s a little family business! Great food and the fact that it has a little clothing section and other little knick knacks makes it unique! Oh and the coffee is amazing! Reasonable prices!

We decided to go for a change of pace and head north to Joondalup to try out the eclectic little space known as Gipsy Boy which doubles as a boutique as well as café. Neither of us had been there before and though we were disappointed to hear they didn’t do cooked breakfasts on weekdays, we were quickly pacified by the distraction of homewares, jewellery and clothes to look at. The mornings lately have been so cold, so I was happy to deviate from my standard juice with breakfast and opt for a hot chocolate instead, while my dining companion chose a latte. While I like the look of hot drinks in stemless glasses, practically they’re not the best idea as if the milk is piping hot, you’re bound to burn the pads of your fingers. I waited for the drink to cool a bit before venturing into a sip. It was chocolatey and well balanced, with not much sweetness. The marshmallow on the side is always a must with hot chocolate. With limited dishes on the menu since it’s a weekday, I choose the avocado, red onion, tomato and feta on bread with balsamic(I think this was around $ 12.00). I liked the look of this dish, particularly the cute plate it came out on. The dish was missing the red onion stated on the menu, which would have offered a nice cut through the other ingredients. The avocado was fresh and creamy, the tomato zingy. I really liked the feta which was salty and slightly sharp, countering the sprouts on top. For me though, the downfall was the balsamic drizzled over the top — it tasted nice but there was just way too much of it which detracted from the fresh ingredients. It became a bit too sweet for my preference. The bread was two fresh mini slices with a nice thickness. I think this would have been better served as toast, and as I continued to eat I did find it hard to cut into. In the end I abandoned it and focussed on what was piled on top instead. My friends’s roast beef sandwich with lettuce, cheese, pickles and mustard($ 9.00) was on the pricey side for a sandwich but by all reports it was enjoyed. There is definitely something classic about those flavours, especially the mustard and pickle — I could party with them any day. She also ordered a slice of banana and coconut bread($ 3.00) which I forgot to snap a pic of, but was a delicious choice with the tropical fruit flavours working hand in hand.

So glad this gem has come to Joondalup! QUALITY coffee and delicious home baked goods. When I went I tried the home made coconut bread and a latte and both were delicious. The tea is served in gorgeous fine china with individual teapots, and the cakes are served on an assortment of quirky vintage plates. This café doubles as a boutique shop with a good assortment of quality brad clothes. As well as various gifts, homewares and accessories. I would say they serve one of the best cups of coffee in Joondalup(Micrology coffee roasters beans) The whole set out of the shop has vintage vibes & there are plenty of knick knacks to browse at. This is my go-to spot for quality coffee and cake in Joondalup, and has friendly service with a smile.

Gipsy boy is a super cute café/boutique clothing corner shop. They serve a fresh and delicious breakfast menu. The breakfast burito has me gaging for more! Mixology beans are used to make their coffees and is a very nice blend. The clothing side is always having sales!

Joondalup is really improving each time I visit with Gipsy Boy a cute little breakfast nook! The servings were big, the menu items had a slight twist on what you normally see on offer for Joondalup. No standard bacon and eggs here! We ordered the smashed avocado with vegemite, bacon and egg bagel with tomato chutney and the mushroom brushetta with balsamic vinegar and danish feta. They use real chai for the chai latte and pay special attention to how they present your breakfast — it is hard not to squeal with food-glee when they serve you your breakfast and coffee. But wait there is more! not only is it a cute little breakfast nook, it also is a boutique filled with cute ornaments, individual jewellery, bahen and co chocolate and dresses. The perfect place to buy some gifts if you don’t want to brave the humungous lakeside shopping centre. Overall I had a lovely time at Gipsy Boy and will most likely return. The only reason it is not a 5⁄5 is that I wanted to have way more chutney with my bagel and that the raw treats in the window looked so yummy but the price seemed a little steep for the portion size but it appears that these are sourced from a local supplier and not the store. See you soon Gipsy Boy!
