This place was pretty promising, great swimming pool and a beautiful location so it was a real letdown that the service was so poor and their car park procedures were so inadequate. My husband and I stayed here for business and were shocked to find that the«free wifi» was non existent in our room as we really needed it and checked it was available before booking. We went downstairs and were told we should be able to locate wifi on our floor, but sometimes it «just doesn’t work» and if we would like to borrow a router and install it ourselves we could get wifi that way. This seemed like a ridiculous amount of hassle but we agreed to borrow a router, to which the front desk assistant responded, oh, we are actually out of them, maybe just«try searching for wifi again…» Disgruntled and now having to run our business from hideously expensive roaming data we continued with our stay. After a late night meeting with associates and a long drive we came back to an almost overflowing car park and ended up having to squeeze our tiny car into the smallest of spaces. The parking was clearly such an issue that we received not one but 3 separate calls to my cell phone and our room at 6 am the next morning asking if we had double parked and not put up a parking pass on our car. This could have been avoided if the hotel recorded license plates like most other hotels I have stayed at. After being rudely awoken at 6 am not once but 3 damn times we did not even receive an apology the girl just hung up when we said that’s not our car. Tired, upset and awake I went to the store next door to get a coffee and ran into one of the staff members from the Bridgewater apartments on the way who LAUGHED that I was«up so early» when I explained that it was because we had just been repeatedly called and accused of double parking and blocking another car, the girl said«oh that’s because the person parked in needed to leave for the airport» Honestly, I couldn’t actually care less WHY you woke me up, I care that you never said sorry. And the fact that your staff LAUGHED at me being awake after they woke me up and STILL didn’t say sorry is SOINSULTING! After I checked out I again brought up the fact that I had been considerably out of pocket for their failure to provide the advertised wifi and I was told«oh, well I checked in the hallway and it said I get reception so I figured you were good now, but I guess with some older Apple devices it often doesn’t work» thanks for blaming my equipment and assuming I can’t afford new things. The desk attendant said her I phone 6 works just fine, I pulled my matching phone out of my pocket and asked if she would like to come to our room to verify the lack of wifi and she flatly refused to do so but said she would call the head of operations to voice my concerns with the stay. That was 4 days ago now and I haven’t received a call back. I bet if someone parked incorrectly in their park I would have gotten a call at 6am on the dot…
