Disappointing. Stopped here for a burrito and some soft tacos with the other half. Both were cold and the chicken was quite dry. Can’t say it was good Mexican, good ambiance or good value.

Cool little mexico place. I was cheap and went for the 2 dollar taco on Tuesday. Now I don’t know if I outcheaped myself and missed out on the goodness or they are a bit lackluster. They do have Genovese coffee which is a big tick! I will try again and spend more than 2 dollars next time… :S

Yummy food and friendly staff. While everything on the menu is delicious, the stand out for me has to be the Churros.

Very good fries, generous serving, great for sharing. Frozen margaritas are barely acceptable, straight from a mix. The sangria is ok. The guacamole is sub par and you’d expect better from a place called holly guacamole.

Not much to say about this place. It was a decent Mexican place in the middle of Launceston. The thing I did appreciate is that when I ordered my burrito with no cheese and no sour cream the waitress picked up on the fact I was anti dairy and pointed out that the guacamole had dairy in it! Solid lunch choice in a city that doesn’t really have many alternatives.

After trekking across town to visit a particular café that turned out to be closed, I stopped in at this bright little café for a restorative coffee to soothe my disappointment — unfortunately, it didn’t quite do the trick. I liked the cool south American/Day of the Dead vibes and décor and their nicely chocolate-studded dessert menu(always a drawcard!). It was a tad hot to indulge in anything from said menu, but I decided to cover all my bases with an iced mocha. I was looking forward to a taste of this famous chocolate but sadly its appearances didn’t extend to drinks — my sickly sweet mocha seemed to have been flavoured with copious«chocolate-flavoured» syrup and perhaps a touch of instant hot chocolate powder, à la petrol station at 3am. For $ 5 in a café that touts their chocolate? No thank you. Their chocolate-free coffee was certainly more drinkable, but decidedly average. At bill time I was surprised to learn that what appeared to be a standard-sized coffee was in fact a «large». Call me a luddite but I have expectations when it comes to coffee pricing. A regular coffee should fit well in my hand and cost between $ 3 and $ 4, depending on how good it is. Calling this country-wide standard size of coffee«large» and charging $ 4.50 for it does not win my approval. Perhaps their food is a redeeming feature and perhaps one day I’ll try it. Until then, I’m sad to say, my opinion is a firm«meh».
