Great children’s park of all ages, just a pity that, despite there being doggy poo bags available, there is still dog poo lying on the ground in the middle of thoroughfare, and bummer, I stepped right in it. :(

The school near my house has a full basketball court. Literally 30 seconds walk (15 of those are for putting on shoes) and I could be playing basketball. But society has rules about trespassing on school property and so I stay away, reluctantly accepting my freedom as a trade-​off for convenience.
Thankfully, Evan Jones Playground fills the void. Although now located at a truly exorbitant 3 minutes walk (!!!), this small park has a half-​court for those inclined to play ball along with a full set of children’s play equipment. The hoop never seems to get much of a workout, but this area is popular with moms and kids during the week. I walked past on one weekend and it was filled with dads. So if you are a gentleman with children and are dreading the prospect of having to make small talk about whatever parents like to talk about, there are other dudes to hang out with and discuss everything but your kids.
