Norton Seafoods, next door to the Vintage Cellars in Norton St Plaza, cooks up a pretty decent fish and chips.
They sell a good range of fresh seafood, including delicious fresh salmon fillets, and a majority of their products are sold either cooked or fresh.
The fish and calamari (my take-​away picks) are pretty cheap and come with chips and salad. There’s a nice choice of salads to accompany your seafood (Greek, Garden, Caprese, etc.) although they’re often doused in dressing.
If you’re talking to one particular friend, he’ll let you know that you can’t go wrong with a feed from Norton Seafoods, claiming that it’s the best fish and chips you’ll ever get. Whilst I wouldn’t go this far, it is good and is an easy option for a quick take-​away dinner. You can eat there too, with tables and chairs spilling into a small section of the Plaza.
