Food a bit over priced, though edible. Probably better getting takeaway and eating in the park. Service as in the time to receive your order was over 30 minutes. Nice waitress(one) apologised and was very embarrassed. Others couldn’t care. We won’t be back.

Great location along the front overlooking the park and water. Friendly service and good good. Just a tad overpriced. We had the rocket and avocado toast on Chiabata bread and the breakfast BLT with chips.

Breakfast was terrible, microwaved and tasteless, won’t be back, rude waitress too, coffee was cold first up, second cup, bitter and burnt tasting, all in all a very unpleasant breakfast, am dieting, this was to be my treat day, it was no treat

We got a take away fish and chips box here, it had two different kinds of fish, a couple of breaded prawns, some calamari rings, a lot of chips and a side of tartar sauce, for $ 13.90. It was decent amount of food for the price. The calamari rings did not taste quite right — they were soft like fish cake rather than chewy like squid, which made us question what they were really made of. But otherwise the food was good. There are a lot of fish and chips places on the strip between Manly and Wynnum, so I bet the competition is fierce. But Cuttlefish has a big restaurant area with comfortable seating and a good cross-breeze, so if we had been planning to sit down this would have been a good choice. We chose instead to take our food down to the picnic benches by the beach and enjoy the view of the ocean.

The site of the Cuttlefish Café has changed ownership and eatery styles a couple of times in the last couple of years but thankfully the present owners seem to have it right. I haven’t been in the morning but there’s always a big crowd enjoying the sun, and if I see the cyclists, I know the coffee’s good. The dinner menu has Australian flavours of seafood and also some lamb, beef and vege dishes, then there’s traditional Spanish flavours in the tapas. Like any tapas, the price adds up and you could find yourself paying up around the $ 30-$ 40 mark, but you don’t have to; that’s the beauty of it. You can sit back and enjoy a coupl eof plates and glass of wine, enjoy the bay breezes and dream of Barcelona.

I have heard some not so great opinions on this place, but my experience so far has been good. The coffee is above average, although service is a little slow in busy times, nothing too bad. The breakfast menu has a good range and it is really easy to order. I am a fan of breakfast here simply because it is so close to the water and the jetty for a stroll. The seating is great if you have a small group of people.

I’m a fan of the Cuttlefish Café as a breakfast and or coffee venue. I can’t comment on their evening meals. But as a venue to grab a great tasting breakfast and a quality coffee then I’m happy to give it a 9⁄10. The Egg’s Benedict is a personal favourite served on a Turkish toast with a choice of smoked salmon or fresh leg ham. The current Barista makes a great latte!.. The location of the café is great. Its on the Esplanade and opposite the marinas and the park. Typically I park here and take a well paced 5klm morning walk to and from Wynnum. Breakfast here afterwards is a great reward.
