We popped in here for breaking just this weekend and it was lovely, not so much for the food — which was tasty but not amazing, but for the people watching! The boys got to comment on each boat the drove past while I made friends with all the puppies that walked past.
Oh and the cakes!!! Home made delicious things: apple pie with pastry criss-​crossed on top, caramel tart, NY cheesecake… Mmmmm
Relaxing vibe, right near the Manly markets, good coffee.

Manly Café is fantastic. I have been here a handful of times and not been disappointed. The coffee is good, not too bitter and they have some great specials on the a-​frame board out the front as you walk past. This board alone has tempted me in at least once with words like ‘soup’ or ‘cake’ or something else that I didn’t know I felt like until I saw the sign and they suddenly I had to have it.
They are almost always busy but I have not had trouble getting a table for two. The wait for takeaway coffee is pretty good too.

Right near the water, the Manly Café does a roaring trade with Sunday visitors to Manly. It’s right near the harbour and across the road from the fish café. Open for breakfast and lunch, this café does good coffee and great smoothies.
