Great views, excellent craft beer selection, lousy food. Great views: Across the street to ocean-side Manly, with beach and waves and surfers. Fabulous, from stools in Yardarm. Excellent craft beer selection: Dozens on tap. Knowledgeable staff behind the bar. Lousy food: «Pulled pork sliders,» with equal minimalistic amounts of onion, cabbage, and, oh yeah, cold pulled pork. Worst ever.

If you are strolling down Manly beach and feel like you need a very abundant meal and a nice beer, look no further. Thumbs up.

Gorgeous views of the Manly beach and a decent selection of beer on tap. The vibe is casual and easy like all of Manly. You can spend a lazy saturday afternoon just gazing at the views and sipping on beer. Their wine selection is okay, and the hot chicken wings quite delicious. Fun place but maybe can amp up the vibe a bit, cause when compared to the neighbouring North Styne pub it’s a little dull!

We went here on Christmas Eve to see if management changes had made this establishment any better(previously Rubber Ducky). Sadly, there were hardly any patrons despite being Christmas Eve and it was quite a quiet, depressing vibe. We ordered the Thai Beef Salad and the Cheeseburger, also ordered extra fries for entrée. Unfortunately the service was very impersonal and stock standard. No friendly comments or smiles or thank you’s. The fries came out quickly but were cold and not much flavour. When the waitress took away the bowl, she simply walked over and took it away without even a word/look at us. The salad was pretty good, albeit a bit too spicy for my liking. Serving size was decent. Cheeseburger was ok, possibly a bit dry/not warm enough. Also possibly smaller size than we expected. Overall we probably wouldn’t go back, as price wasn’t exactly reflected in the offerings and we could get better value elsewhere. Most disappointing fact for me was the poor service by employees who obviously didn’t care whether they had many diners or what kind of experience their diners had. I wish I could take it back and choose to spend my Christmas Eve elsewhere. As I overheard by a nearby diner, «This place must be cursed” — It is known for high frequency turnover of management/name changes and poor business. Shame, because it is a great view on the balcony to the Manly Beach. Probably a good place just to have a few drinks and nothing more.

A good find. We needed a place to have a few beers between lunch and dinner, and this place was suggested. They have a great selection of craft beer on tap. I count 16 on their website, but they had some taps that aren’t listed, and plenty I hadn’t tried. We wound up ordering a few snacks and were happy with the ploughmans platter, and the chips. There were mixed reviews for the firebreathers buffalo wings(I have high wing standards. For me these were okay, others really liked them.) The location is fantastic, with a gorgeous view of the beach right across the road. There’s plenty of seating, thanks to a great layout with a few seating areas — all of which are within easy distance to the long bar. A good location for a few drinks with friends. YardArm could easily accommodate a large group looking to settle in as well.
