I’m a fan even if I’m in the process of growing my hair for dreads. 5 O’clock Shadow is one of those barbers that are helping to rekindle the traditions of the men’s barbershop, with a twist.
The interior is rocking, and the beats are too, there’d definitely a left field and more youthful approach here. As I sit with my friend, who’s again going through a change of character, the guy in currently in the barber’s seat is getting a clipper cut. Something I have not seen in a long time. It’s precise and layered. I’m impressed.
Today my friend is getting his rockabilly down by getting a quiff strapped on. I’m amazed at the speed and finesse the barber has for this styling. Inside me there is a little jealousy when my mate pops out of the chair, his mantle ablaze with such wicked funk. It takes all my being to walk out of there with my birds nest.
