I cant say i had the best or worst time here. After 5 hurricanes and a hefty layover it was a good time.

If you need a drink in Melbourne Airport, this place sells drinks.
Staff are friendly enough and there are plenty of seating.

It’s a good thing we went here with 3 hours to spare before our (delayed) flight, because otherwise we wouldn’t have finished our meals in time.
My colleagues and I needed a place where we could do some work and grab food and drinks before our flight, and this seemed like a nice spot. The only other places available were more of the food court variety, and we needed a place to park.
The place is pretty big… there’s a larger area out back, which was good. Some tables were reserved, which I found odd… then I found out (after we had settled in) that those places weren’t actually reserved, you could stay there if you were getting food to eat, which we were, but it was too late to move at that point.
Anyway, this gets 2 stars because of the food — both in service and in quality. First and foremost, the food took AGES to arrive. And I know because I timed it. My steak took exactly 38 minutes, which is insane considering it was around 3:30 when I ordered, the place wasn’t full, and most of the people in there were there to grab a drink and were not eating.
Secondly, the steak was bad. I ordered my steak medium well, and it came out well done. (My colleague ordered the same and he commented that his was tough, too.) And not even the good kind of well done — it was tough, a bit leathery. Maybe I should’ve ordered it rare. It also came with a side of grilled corn that had been heavily charred that I had to scrape off the burnt bits with a knife. The onion rings (also a side) were fortunately OK. The pepper sauce was all right too, if a bit sweet. For $ 28, it was a huge downgrade from the $ 10 steaks at random pubs I’d encountered. :(
Colleagues both had Guinness and they said it was pretty good. So I guess this is a good place to go if drinks are all you’re after, hence the 2 stars. Otherwise — avoid.
