EB Games

This EB store is awesome! It’s not like the typical EBs you get more commonly in other places in Australia. The mall level entrance has games and consuls as per usual. However, upstairs there’s a Nintendo level upstairs where there is both Nintendo merchandise and consoles. You can try various consoles or play with mates (or strangers!) and see older consuls as well. It’s like a mini version of the Nintendo store in New York! There are items here I haven’t seen in any other EB stores.
There’s also a huge range of Pop vinyls with lots of new items I haven’t seen in any other toy stores, like Beca from Pitch Perfect.

I’ve supported EB consistently since the day they opened up in Melbourne but an experience from today was appalling.
By appalling, I mean to say that I was robbed.
Now EB fans may know of their Starlight foundation fundraising and I try to drop by, buy a game, leave a donation and enter their competition every year so I didn’t question when the girl at the counter asked me about whether or not I’d like to enter by leaving a $ 5 donation (I had already given money to the lady collecting at the door also) and so I did.
I returned home to find that the competition has been over for more than a week and that there was nowhere to enter the code at all from my entry card.
I’d normally not accuse a store of fraud or theft but if they want to believe that it’s acceptable to steal from loyal customers in such a manner then I will now and forever be doing my game shopping at JB HiFi.
Thanks EB. I totally deserved to be lied to and then conned out of my hard earned cash.
Shame on you all. You’ll do more harm than good for the charity you support by using illegal tactics like this.

After walking out from rude and ignorant service from JB Hi-​Fi, the staff at EB Games were much nicer and helped me instantly. Got a great trade in offer from my old stuff with a 20% bonus trade offer. It might not be the cheapest place around, but worth the extra few bucks if you need real service!

I’m sorry to all the EB Game fans out there, but you’re being ripped off.
Yep, even when a game is on special. Sure every now and then you might find something that’s a couple of buck cheaper but if you go anywhere else, like JB, and tell them about it, they’ll match it. I kinda don’t like supporting stores which have some games priced anywhere between $ 4 to $ 40 more than everywhere else. In today’s market there are way too many places to get your games from to be doing thing like this.
