As much as I love Asian foods, Korean is never normally my go to choice. I might change that now. Dined with a girlfriend for a senior citz dinner(pre 6pm!), were seated upstairs in the booths straight away. We chose to go the $ 50 pp banquet which included a shared Korean seafood pancake(loved it, might go back just for this), black rice, sides, 3 different types of beef cooked right in front of us and a choice of dessert(went the gluten free chocolate pudding). It was more than enough food for the 2 of us. Luckily we both love our cow basically mooing, so it was cooked absolutely perfectly, and the sweet soy dipping sauce, and marinade on one of the cuts went perfectly. It’s probably a little pricey to be a regular haunt, but I’d certainly go back again! Fun Fact — there’s a draw under the seats you can put your bag in — genius!

A decent 2am find– friend and I came to try their spicy rice cake with cheese as well as their sliced pork and veggies dish for a very late dinner or an early breakfast– whichever suits. Both were huge and really to share between at least two people instead of one dish per person. The rice cake wasn’t too spicy– not in a bad way– and came in a large flat circle dish with a boiled egg, flat triangle rice cakes and thinly sliced cabbage. Topped with cheese. Thought this was a tasty dish and came with more than enough serving. Recommend that one. The pork came on a bed of cabbage or green leaves of some description and was accompanied by three small dishes with a hot sauce, garlic, green peppers and a bowl of kimchi. A decent dish. Thought their upstairs with the lights were quite cool. A modern fusion of traditional Korean dishes– the BBQ seemed quite popular– will have to come back to try this. Happy with our order and the service!

Really enjoyed the ga-bi and the pork belly. Marinated pretty well. A little pricey though.

Looks like they’ve expanded their lunch menu again to something resembling Korean food. I give them credit for trying some innovative dish ideas. For example, the Sweet Potato with Chicken Cutlet set is an interesting combination. The sweet sauce goes well with the mash potato, and the salad is quite fresh. Serving size is ok too. Unfortunately all this is undone by the hard & burnt chicken cutlet. A real pity because it’s actually quite meaty. Can’t believe they can screw this up. Fail again.
