Friendly staff, but our hotdog and burger were not up to par. As vegetarians, we’ve eaten vegan burgers all across the world. Unfortunately, Lord disappoints with low-quality, soggy, white buns and weird tasting mayo(old?).

Got to love LOTF. I’m a fan. They have decent chips and some good burgers. Its not a place I go often, but I do have a VIP card which gives me one free chips a month, so that’s the little persuasion that gets me going there. I enjoy the onion rings the most. They are delcious.

After hearing the hype over Lord of the Fries, I figured it was someplace I had to try out. Heck, even my Sydney friends were bragging over the fact that they had just gotten their first one. I honestly did not see the big deal in it. Sure, all vegetarian stuff is awesome, but this was not what I was expecting. The«mini» burgers are nice snack sizes, and the regular ones are decent too. My issue was with the patty. I’ve had plenty of vegetarian burgers before, but I’ve never had one as dry and tasteless as the one I had at LOTF. And I know that it wasn’t just my burger. The only thing that made it taste like anything, was the sauce. The fries, they are just fries. Sure, the sauces were good, but why would anyone come to one place for a sauce? Beats me.

Cheap VEGAN food open way past bedtime, perfect for when you’re out drinking in the city and need some food that isn’t from 7 – 11. Every month they feature a different sauce, includes vegan cheese! Perfect!

Fries are just Fries right? Not in Melbourne, No. There is a place called the Lord of the fries. They offer fries with multiple toppings. The sauces are too many to list and range from all over the world in taste. Their secret sauces are what makes Lord of the fries popular. I haven’t tried all, but prefer their deluxe sauces to their regular ones. I like buying mine in a box rather than the cone as it’s easier to deal with and the sauce can be spread evenly. They have burgers too. The fries by itself however are just fries… Freshly made from Aussie Potatoes, but just regular fries.

As far as Lord of the Fries goes, this is one of the better locations in Melbourne CBD in my opinion. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this chain establishment that sells yummy chips, burgers, and hotdogs — they are 100% vegan and yes that is including the hot dogs. For those herbivores out there, Lord of the Fries is without a doubt a viable option to get your grub on worry-free. Location: This Lord of the Fries is located in Melbourne Central down a small laneway next to Harajuku Crepes and Menya Ramen. Only a little takeaway stand with few tables and chairs, the atmosphere isn’t fancy by any means and it’s not really comfortable to have your meal there. I suggest getting your meal takeaway. Customer Service: I like this particular location because the customer service is always great here. In contrast to the one on the corner of Flinders and Elizabeth street, the employees don’t seem apathetic and bored with their jobs. Instead, I’m always greeted by a smile. Food: They have a great variety of sauces that go on their chips ranging from classic sauces to deluxe. My recommendation? Try the«Parisian» Sauce — Aioli Garlic Mayonnaise smothered all over the chips is to die for. I’ve also had their«French Canadian» Sauce — Shredded Cheese & Hot Gravy(one of their deluxe flavours) — yum! In my opinion, the«Parisian» is better, but you cannot go wrong with some cheese and gravy. — Lord of the Fries is a great option regardless of whether or not you’re vegan. With its great variety of sauces that go with their soft and yummy chips, who can hate this place? If you’re in Melbourne Central doing shopping and you want a little pick-me-up snack, I suggest Lord of the Fries.
