My first time trying Nando’s! I’m not sure what the fuss is all about. The«crack-like» peri peri sauce that everyone always seems to be raving about isn’t even that good. It’s a little too vinegar-y for my taste. The chicken was slightly dry, but not terrible. $ 29.99 will get you a whole chicken, and two sides. We opted for the Portuguese spicy rice, and the cole slaw. The cole slaw was probably the best part of the meal. But I guess it’s not really fair to expect amazing food from a fast food chicken place. Maybe we just ordered the wrong marinade(lemon & herb) or caught them on an off day. It’s cheap, quick, and filling — if you’re asking for more than that, then you’re asking for too much.

I love nandos! It’s my favourite chicken joint because of their flamed grill and the peri peri sauce! There’s a few scattered around CBD of melbourne. It is a bit pricey in Aussie terms but you can’t go wrong with their peri peri chips & chicken. Always made fresh and hot! If you eat in, the peri peri sauce is in bottles for you to enjoy as much as you want! I even buy these bottles because I love it so much! Just the right amount of heat! All the staff has great customer service!

expensive for what you get. i love the chicken and adore the peri peri chips, but its too expensive. The restaurant on bourke street gets really cold too. Bring down the price, and make it warm, and I would go there 2 – 3 times a week for lunch.

I’ve seen Nando’s all over the place(in Scotland, Oz and the States) but for some reason have never actually gone inside one, until this past week. Well, consider me a fan! The grilled tenderloins(e.g. chicken tenders) are nice cuts of chicken, and the spicy peri peri sauce is outstanding. A proper amount of burn without descending into fire-for-the-sake-of-fire territory. Combos(with a side and drink) are decently priced, averaging around $ 13 – 16AUD per person, so it’s really affordable compared to most restaurants in Melbourne. This location in particular is perfect for a quick meal before a movie up the street, and the staff are all super nice and friendly.
