I ordered the pork and prawn roll with hoisin sauce. It was nice — not great — the only qualm I have with this chain is that the rolls always taste too chilled as though they’ve been made the night before. I live Vietnamese rolls but they’re only good FRESH — not chilled. If your craving fresh spring rolls, it’s ok — nothing to write home about.

I adore Roll’d as you can get tofu soldiers, phở and binh ma quickly and cheaply. Good for lunch if you’re in a rush!

This place is super efficient and will have you out the door and stuffing your face with a bánh mi in around 5 minutes(though when you’re hungry the wait is excruciating and comparable to sitting through a Baz Luhrmann film after having eaten all your maltesers in the opening sequence). There may be better bánh mi in Melbourne, but for ease of access, speed and general consistency these guys get my vote. The rice paper rolls and salads are also fresh and tasty.

I often find myself walking the streets of Footscray trying to score, good Vietnamese food that is. Banh Mi and Phở are YUM. How happy am I that can now enjoy such divinity in my lunch break by visiting the QV food court. Healthy and relatively cheap(although not quite as cheap its Footscray counterparts) Roll’d offer soldiers(rice paper rolls with fillings such as soft shell crab and avocado or lemongrass and pork) and traditional Vietnamese street food. Think huge Banh Mi — French baguettes with coriander, salad and roast pork with crackling. Today I was feeling more carb conscious and tried the Prawn and Pork Classique Vietnamese salad. Only 7.9 and a really good feed. This place takes food court dining to a new level!

A new Vietnamese sandwich bar in the QV food court! And by the looks of the lines at lunchtime, office workers around QV have been hanging out for decent Vietnamese rolls for ages. Judging by the number of people waiting to pick up their food, Roll’d are doing a great job at satisfying that pent up demand. You can choose from four types of roll, or phở, or salads. They also sell rice paper rolls(which they call«Soldiers»), and some classic Vietnamese drinks. I tried the classic Vietnamese pork roll, which has pâté, pork, pork sausage, carrot, cucumber, chili and coriander on a nice French-style baguette. It was pretty good, but could have been made with a little more care. It wasn’t the best pork roll I’ve had(that honour goes to N. Lee Bakery in Little Collins Street), but it was still very tasty and at $ 6.50 was good value. The staff are well-organised and the food is good value.
