Upmarket steak house with $$$ prices but well worth it! The steak is cooked to perfection and the mushroom, garlic and feta entrée is amaze balls! Wait staff are friendly. There was a screaming kid during the meal but that’s not their fault. Squires Loft sure know how to do steak!

A steak lover? Can get all sorts of cuts of steak here with various sauces and sides. This place specialises in mainly steaks and are very good at cooking the steaks perfectly. It’s in a nice location which is close to the city. Great place for dinner with your partner

Enjoyed my time here, the food was beautiful, the service was excellent and very quick getting the food to you. Overall one of better places in Melbourne. If you love steak, you will love this place! Highly recommend it.

Moderate value, good range of steaks to choose from but essentially is an upmarket pub. The Boerewors(south african sausage) appetiser was a bit of a let down at $ 15 for a single sliced up sausage with cheap supermarket sweet chilli sauce on the side. While the ambience was uninspiring, the fantastic service more than made up for it. One of my companions was particularly hungry and repeated requests for more bread and butter were not only met with a smile but served promptly and with good humor, I’m pretty sure they also cooked a fresh loaf for us at one point. Thanks, cheerful funny waitress!

Such lovely food and atmosphere, very family friendly also. If you like pork ribs they are a must try! I think they are the best I have ever tasted.

Meat, meat, meat. Okay, you can get lots of other dishes here — the king prawn skewers are nice, I’m told — but it’s mostly about the steak. Several cuts and grades and sizes are available, ranging from about $ 30 to about $ 50. The meat is seasoned and cooked and presented well, and sides are OK. Service can be a little rushed and frenetic because it does tend to be popular and therefore busy. They were training our server the last time I was here, and they did a good job of letting her learn but also move along the ordering process for the table at a reasonable speed. So the meat is good, service is OK, surroundings can be a bit crowded and loud. I like the wine list, too. The Docklands location is a little fancier.

I am not a meat eater. I am just not a big fan of chunks of meat. I definitely don’t go out for stake and I don’t make it a priority on my to do list. Strangely, I’ve been to Squires 3 times in the last month and absolutely loved it. Maybe because they specialize in steak I couldn’t really go wrong with my order but considering I am not into meat I found that each time I ordered I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and found extremely easy to get through and polished off the whole meal. They do a great rib eye(200g) & Porterhouse(200g) both medium rare, which for the record is more rare than medium and needed to be for the porterhouse. Each stake comes with a side of chips and you can choose your own sauce(Mushroom was a winner). I am sure their menu is much more meat oriented than just the gold old stake and you could tell by the crowds that attracts, especially on a Friday & Saturday night. I caught a glimpse more that one of the onion rings and spare ribs which looks like it was a popular favorite. At $ 45 to include a glass of red, I would say all in all a completely satisfying feed and a hard earned meal.
