Casual Italian dining. This was our last meal in Melbourne so we did the full meal, Italian style. Started with some antipasto followed up with a pasta with meatballs and a anchovy pizza. All 3 were very delicious. For my main, I had the cotoletta which was a breaded veal. I just wanted the veal so I tore off the breading and had me some veal steak. The evening was capped with a tiramisu dessert. Our server was very attentive and friendly and I would recommend coming here again.

The veneto pizza with crispy prosciutto and goat cheese is a highlight. The crust is not quite italian style but it is thin and crispy nonetheless. At 18AUD, its relatively cheap by australian standards. The décor and service are fine.

I am very disappointed in the food. We could tell that the chef was not Italian. I could make the same food at home. I have to saw that the service is very good.

It sucks when a side of spinach and the Stella Artois is your best showing. For bread we had the white toast sandwich bread. :(. The mozzarella pizza was below average as was the seafood linguine. The service was excellent though and that’s the 3 points. Good was below average. Pass!

Had one of my best Italian experiences here. Took a date and the owner and servers were amazing. Had a great experience, incredible food, and wonderful atmosphere! Thanks!

We went here for a snack and a drink early on a Saturday evening. The place was heavily booked, but we managed to get a table without a reservation. The good menu looked ok, but was not anything special. We had a nice pizza to share with our drinks. The drinks menu was very standard and without inspiration. I’m not certain why they were so busy. We are not planning to return here again with so many better options in the CBD.

Another of Melbourne’s long standing institutions, that I had forgotten about and lay in the back of my mind somewhere. I have been here years ago, though don’t remember too much from the experience. The layout is still essentially the same, and the pizza’s are still bloody great. I had both the Pancetta and red peppers and pork meatball varieties on my recent visits, but I’m sure there are great things to come. Beers are pretty okay, Though I only glanced over them, and I think that the wine list looked good. In short Flipping Brill pizza; tastes fantastic, and lots of yummy flavours to choose. Still doing it great. Service is good.

During my visit to Melbourne, Tazio was conveniently across the road from my apartment and I therefore had the opportunity to enjoy their amazing food, drink and service. It’s not always you arrive at a restaurant in winter and you’re instantly directed to an alfresco table with comforting heating and exceptional service. My girlfriend and I ordered drinks followed by Garlic Pizza and Arancini for an afternoon appetiser. One word can describe the food, drink and the atmosphere — perfect. As we were on our way home hours later, we dropped in yet again and the service was still perfect. This occasion we ordered a takeaway pizza for a late dinner and it was no short of exceptional also. Amazing flavour, toppings and crust cooked to absolute perfection. Will definitely be visiting Tazio again in Melbourne.

After walking past this place on the way home from work most days I finally popped in for lunch after hearing they make a mean pizza. The fact that this place was a full house at lunch time on a Friday proves how great Tazio is. Large tables inside & out cater for big groups. The beer list is huge(local & import), but more importantly the pizza is great and very authentic. It is now my favourite pizzeria at the top-end of town.
