My boyfriend wanted to watch a football game here, and sure enough it was playing on the big screen ! We drank some Irish ciders which went down really well, after a flight from Sydney. The bartenders were super friendly and were up for a little chat along the way. The customer demographics, one must admit, was quite a mature one. The pub theme was on point with great décor and paintings and wooden theme. We loved it. Nothing negative to say about this bar ! The other customers seemed happy and so were we !

I like the stew and Irish pie… in fact, this is one of the best Irish pubs outside Ireland in my opinion. Staff are fantastic and friendly.

I visited this pub for a quick catch up with a friend from Sydney, just a drink and a chat. Quite taken aback to discover a postmix drink is $ 4.50 — yes, $ 9 for two small glasses of Coke. On top of this the place is loud, cramped and run down. Best avoid it all together and find somewhere cheaper and more comfortable.

Forget about the Mitre Tavern around the corner. The Irish Times is superior for either a quick drink or an extended catch up. Great beer selection(and they actually know how to pull a beer) plus a great range of snacks. Their range of pizzas are delicious; they have one of the best Aussie pizzas I’ve tasted(slightly runny yolk, if you’re an Aussie pizza connoisseur) . Don’t worry if downstairs is busy, because upstairs is huge. Say hi to the manager, Derrick. And keep you eyes open, because it is easy to walk past this place without seeing it.
