JBHIFIISDABOM! I love my DVD’s. I love my XBox. and I love my TV so this place is for me. If you don’t know what JBHIFI is, then you’ve been living under a rock. This is the store that pretty much put all Music and DVD stores out of business in Adelaide. :) Melrose Park JB Hi-Fi is a pretty good site, its got a huge range of DVD’s Music, TV’s Stereos and so on. and one added bonus is that its quiet. If you’ve ever been to one of the other JB HiFi’s you understand that these stores can get extremely busy. The prices are cheap, but not as cheap as they used to be, the staff are pretty laid back. and the doorman always checks your bags! :) Overall JB Hi-Fi Melrose Park is a great store. Well worth the drive. :)

This is probably my favourite JB store in Adelaide. A lot less crowded than any other JB store that still boasts a mind boggling range of merchandise. Helpful & friendly staff, very easy parking.

I shop at either JB’s or Dick’s for my electrical tech needs and I recently purchased a new router for the wireless internet at home from JB’s. My last one just up and died so after spending almost one hour on the phone to customer service in another country to figure out how to fix it, they may aswell have been doing sign language over the phone as I could not understand their English, which they thought was perfectly fine! I cut my losses and bought a new one. After speaking with two different sales people and then realising the first purchase I made was incorrect — but it was my fault as they can’t read my mind or tell me what I need — so I returned it with no hassle same day. Second time round the other sales person advised that it depends on who you speak with as there are separate areas the sales people specialise in. So a computer tech head will have a different view of a product out of their area — hmm good tip will keep that in mind for next time. Their prices are reasonable and they do price match with other stores, the staff I found have always been helpful and friendly over the years, no matter which location. And I like the fact they are allowed to dress the way they want to and it’s a tattoo, long hair friendly workplace. On an interesting, left of centre note — the last time I went into the Melrose Park store to purchase, return and purchase again — whilst I was at the counter I noticed something unusual at the left corner of my field of vision. No my eyes didn’t deceive me as there was a man with a giant python wrapped around his neck and arms. No he wasn’t being strangled either… it was his pet snake! So it’s pet friendly also!

A great store to visit as there isn’t much crowd compared to the other branches. As all branches, this store is huge and you’re greeted by yellow banners bearing sales promo. They do offer some competitive prices here, especially in the range of laptops, computers and plasma TV. The staff are helpful and friendly, and have excellent product knowledge. This makes shopping easier and enjoyable too. I bought my recent smartphone from this store and I must commend Eric for being so helpful and friendly. He patiently answered all of my queries and concerns. Plus it’s definitely a kids friendly store as my sons took turns in testing and playing with the iPhone test model with no reservations from the staff. My kids spotted a shelf filled with preloved Xbox games which were going for a song. If you’re after sound systems and players, they stock Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and others here. Conveniently located on South Road, this is a great place to come and browse all the latest gadgets and techs.
