Well, I ended up getting my weekly dose of curry at this really nice Indian Restaurant hidden away in one of the less frequented area of the Rocks(even though the Lord Nelson does happen to be across the road — and that place is always packed). The staff were really friendly when I came in, and I ended up having the Lamb Korma which was really nice(though not as spicey as some of the ones that I have had — maybe I should have gone the vindaloo, but I can’t remember seeing one available). Like many of these places the rice is sold separately, and you can also have a baquet option if you are wanting a much more varied experience. They also do take away, which once again is something that I have come to expect from places like this.

A quiet alternative to the bustle of Circular Quay and The Rocks, especially if you’re a fan of Indian food. The food was quite good, I’m not an expert on good tasting Indian food but I really enjoyed it. The daal and the chicken spinach curry are spectacular and the roti and pappadums are equally as delicious. It seems like its quite an easy place to get into especially on a Friday and Saturday night, especially if you want an early dinner as they open at 5pm. One of the best things about this place is that if you like anything spicier than the menu says the staff are only happy to add extra chilli to your dish!

Great tasting indian food but its a little on the expensive side(so you would not find any Indian clientele here because of that I’m guessing). The big highlights for this place would be that they have kingfisher(Indian Beer) and the curries have the right level of spiciness for what it is posted on the menu. The place seems to be easy to get a table without a reservation on a Saturday night(there were 15 of us) — but I guess this was due to the location of the restaurant being right at the quieter residential end of Kent Street.
