I love this café, it has consistently good food and coffee. I find the staff are easy to deal with, sometimes when it’s busy they get a bit frazzled but I don’t mind. The desserts are delicious and the breads are lovely.

One of the Puckle street options and it all depends which end I’m in as to where I will stop for a coffee. Because I’m a sun lover it is on the ‘wrong’ side of the street but there are those times when it’s too cold or even too hot and so I will venture into Café Luis. I love the yellow cups, the sensible range of cakes and foodstuffs. Coffee is a 7/10, quite within in my ‘it’s worth a visit’ range. Happy with the option of ‘small’ almond croissant, I don’t feel too guilty in indulging. Always pleasant.

Cafeteria Luis feels a little bit French. With the smell of it’s pastries in the air and music in the background I was momentarily taken to Paris during a recent visit. Located towards the end of the Puckle Street strip Cafeteria Luis is a great place to grab a takeaway coffee for your trip down the street or a half way stop for refueling before you cross the street to continue shopping down the other side.

Cafeteria Luis has lemon yellow French chic inspired décor. The color scheme really sets the scene here. It’s neither fantastic nor terrible. This neutral suburban street feel flows throughout the venue. The staff are ok, the service ok and generally an A-OK experience. Frustrating bits– The multiple table numbers for each individual order. And not removed once we had advised the waitress that all entire order had arrived. The«hurry up and get out of here so we can close» death stares from the staff. Even after our small group grew by 2 and we ordered more drinks/food. And we were not near closing time. Amazing bit– The BEARLATTEART. Only made worse by only one member of our entoruage getting this special service. Seriously cool latte art.

Friendly staff whom some have French accents. This French-themed café is popular on the street for its Danishes and brioches. Not many gluten free options available. Dine in or sit outside in true Parisian style. Breakfast servings are generous which can be a bonus. Free wifi too.
