Absolutely amazing bread, French cheese and pastries in the most unsuspecting location! I would have given this place five stars, but the presentation of the actual café /bakery doesn’t really match their amazing products. The tables and chairs are a bit daggy and it wouldn’t take much at all to make this a really beautiful and attractive space. Also, the coffee is acceptable but not amazing by any stretch. They offer a yummy little spiced shortbread with their coffee(most likely baked in-house). The sandwich /baguette menu is perfect — they make these fresh to order on warm crunchy bread with their house made mayo. I don’t know of any other place who does this in Melbourne. Tastes just like what you’d find in France! The sourdough range is exceptional. They also offer their signature GF sourdough also. Well worth the travel for breakfast or lunch. Friendly service. x

I thought that all was lost for bread down south. Bakers Delight has the market cornered… that was until I heard a whisper about a fabled bakery next to an adult store in Moorabbin… somethings are worth hiding in strange places because you get more excited when you find them. This is the kind of bakery with the kind of bread that you drive a few extra miles to find. Apparently it’s the closest to San Fransisco style sour dough in Melbourne. I have a friend who drives from the north of the city to get a loaf. Standard bakery fare on offer and it’s all really good. Only a couple of minutes off the Nepean Highway so if you are passing through detour, you won’t regret it.
