Great Chinese food. So much to choose from. Only went in a small group, which makes it hard to order multiple dishes to share, but what we did have was great. The food was great, but the only criticism would be slow service, consider the restaurant was only 20% full. Apart from that, come in a group so you can try a bit of everything! Defiantly recommend and will be coming back for sure. –PS — BYO alcohol.

I’ve visited this place numerous times and it was definitely more impressive when it first started out. Dimsum is good here — food wise. However, I definitely prefer dimsum at say Imperial Court a lot more. Over the years customer service has declined. I saw a waitress roll her eyes at a customer. I can’t say all of the waiters are like that, we did come across a few polite ones but the overall vibe was just major stress. We were asked if we would like to have our own table or if we didn’t mind sitting with another group who had been seated at a large round table. Mind you, we had been waiting longer to be seated and they were seated first. We had the same number of people. When I asked how long it would take to get our own separate table the guy who seemed to be the manager gave me a look and rudely said it would depend on how long people eat. An estimation would have been nice. Anyway, we shared the table with the other group. After being seated the first thing I saw was a dirty bowl. I swapped twice to have something that looked clean. The seats look a bit grimy and my thoughts about the hygiene in this place was sealed when I saw a baby spider crawling across the table. If we’re talking about food, the deep fried taro dumplings, egg tarts and steamed prawn dumplings and sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf(lo mai gai) are yummy. Can’t say so much for the durian tarts which have a dry paste(way prefer the way Dragon Palace does it) or the deep fried octopus tentacles which have too much batter.

I gave 1 star today because of BAD service by one of their staff. Lets face it, you very rarely get great service at any Chinese restaurant. So anything less than good I accept. But today, the staff actually ridiculed me! She came round with a trolley of steamed food. There was a dish, jelly like, pinkish in colour, and I did not recognise it. So I asked what it was. Her retort was, «blah blah Lahhhh,» OMG… no one in the service industry would use that kind of tone with any customer. Of course I was not going to be treated thus and told her so, and she shrugged her shoulders and pouted. What is it with Asian restaurant staff where they feel it is ok to be rude? I am asian myself and cannot understand that. However, the food was delightful, portion size was good, and the manager was efficient. A tip… better customer service and more smiles will push the stars up a notch.

Big portion of dim sum wt very reasonable price. Not much variety compare wt dragon palace. Tasty but feel thirsty n sleepy after eating due too much of MSG I guess!!!

Decided to try Wangs instead of our usual Chinese restaurant Wah Sun. It was ok. They had a large selection so we thought we’d try some new dishes. Had the soft shell crab for entrée — it was nice but probably battered a bit too much. Then along came the fried duck with plum sauce, fried rice and beef with ginger and spring onion. The duck was nice to eat at first but I found myself starting to struggle after a few pieces. Too much batter took away from the duck. I’m not a fan of ginger so I didn’t like the beef and the fried rice was your standard fried rice. All in all, this place is ok, a bit expensive for Chinese food and I probably wouldn’t go back. Definitely think Wah Sun is the way to go!

I go to The Wand’s Treasure House frequently for lunch, although you generally have to wait the food is well worth it. The dim sum is always fresh and delicious.

Came here when it first opened and it was outstanding. Came here last week and it has dropped dramatically the only two fresh good things are the pork buns and the squid. The dumplings are OK And there was no greens in sight. Rare. Will try silver seas next time down the road.

We headed to Wang’s on Friday before watching a movie at Galleria. The name already had me sold… and laughing. The venue is pretty shabby, the seats especially had seen better days. I wasn’t impressed with our dishes and they weren’t cheap. The salt and pepper squid had an overly hard batter, which seemed to have been cooked in oil that probably should have been replaced a while ago. The steamed greens were great, perfectly seasoned and cooked so that they still held some firmness. I was disappointed with the szechuan beef, no tongue tingles or really any spice at all. Reading the other reviews, I’m keen to come back and try dim sum on the weekend, maybe that is their strong suit. Added bonus — it’s BYO.

If you’re looking for some decent Dim-Sum without having to venture into Northbridge, this is your spot! Located across from the Morley galleria, there is tons of free parking available in the strip mall or at the nearby Morley recreation center. Do expect a wait — on a Sunday lunch we waited 40 minutes for a table for two — the upside being be did end up getting a private table, so that was pretty cool. Selection is a bit less than you’ll find at other Dim-Sum joints in the city, but the quality was alright, if not a bit greasier than most. The baked goods were not so good however, which was a shame. The baked pork buns fell a close second to the steamed pork buns, which were also not very good. The price is right though, with the two of us escaping for under $ 50! While Dim-Sum may be an excellent hangover cure, bear in mind that this location also makes it popular with young children — so be ready for lots of screaming and crying!

Tried this place on the weekend for dim sum. The place was packed by 11am. The food is super fresh and has a great variety of dim sum dishes. The food was flowing thick and fast — we were very impressed! We’ll be back!

We went there on a Monday night and were surprised there were quite a few people there for a Monday, staff including the owner were friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable, and the tables are set up nicely quite impressed. One dish we had was Kway Teow which is a long time favorite was lacking a bit, there was only a couple of prawns and a little bit of both chicken & beef and didn’t quite have the usual ‘smokey’ taste which I think is from Sesame oil in the wok. That said we will go back and plan to try Dim Sum to compare with a Northbridge Dim Sum restaurant we usually go to.

I’ll admit I am impressed! Food was delicious and really quite comparable to my favourite dim sum place in Northbridge. I didn’t think it would be all that nice be situated in Morley(sorry!). But I will take my hat off to the chef because everything was delicious! I ordered the dishes that I am used to rdering when I am out at Dim Sum — it’s hard to stray from the norm! But my taste buds were truly treated well! My only complaints are the slow service times with limited staff and the decore of the place is a little subdued. It’s got more potential but with its great following and crowds at peak time I do not think it has much trouble picking up business. Go on, check it out!

The first visit was fine, service was good and the food was alright, some better then a few dishes you may find elsewhere. But the second visit was a bad experience. When they were making the round and bring all the food around certain people did not go everywhere and kept passing us by so we had to call for them which should not need to be down at least not so often. Much needs to be improved but none the less there has yet to be terrible service from them and the place is worth checking out if you live around the area. Saves you from having to drive up to the city.

You need to come here during«peak hour», because service during quiet times is slow as a wet week. During busy times, though, prepare your taste buds for awesome, because this is primo dim sum. Delicious dim sum for which you don’t have to battle the Northbridge yum cha traffic is just my kind of dim sum. All the stars.

The food quality is comparable to the popular Dim Sim restaurants in the city. Less of a range but what’s available are delicious, generously portioned with lovely presentation(keep an eye out for ones shaped like a fish). Unfortunately, there wasn’t any ‘Salt and Pepper Squid’ on that Monday lunch, having ran out of stock from Father’s Day. However, there weren’t enough Dim Sim trays and trolleys(and menus) going around for the number of diners. The manager was very friendly, the place is relatively new and this was after Father’s Day, so things may improve. There were also numerous tables without being cramped, which is nice. Basically, impressed with the food, the service was a little lacking but definitely has potential. Keen to check in again for a revised opinion.
