It strikes me as amazing that some businesses manage to keep going. It’s not that Messina is a BAD shoe repairer, but how do you make enough money these days out of just fixing heels and cutting keys? Unless, I guess, you are in a prime location. The repairman at Messina did a reasonable job of fixing my broken shoe: not all that fast and not all that cheap, but functional. It was certainly handy that I found him in Bridgepoint Shopping Centre where I seem to spend half my life buying groceries, but I can’t help wondering if I can be confident he’ll still be there next time I slip a sole?
