This small, chic spa is located on Beaufort St but is a bit further up so your out of the hustle and bustle of being in the hub of Mt Lawley. The staff is very friendly and are happy to see to your needs and make sure that you are comfortable. The Relaxation Lounge definitely lives up to its name as its candle lit, with mood music and access to tea, coffee and water. They also provide samples of the different scented oils you can choose from so you know exactly what they will be massaging you with. One of the masseuses will come in and clarify where you want to or not want to be massaged(which can be little bit awkward when there is a room full of other ladies waiting as well… that might just be me though) The masseuse that I had was very good and professional and took the time to work on the areas that I needed most. As this was my first time here I was offered 50% off my next visit and already looking forward to it! Just make note that they do ask for your credit card details when you make a booking just to secure it, however if you need to cancel an appointment make sure to do so 48hrs before hand to avoid them charging you.

Why is it a girl has to pay an arm, a leg and a Gucci bag just to get her hair done in this country? It is a travesty. I was given a gift card here for Christmas and thank goodness or I would have been running away at full speed. The salon itself was gorgeous and I appreciate that the hairstylist was concerned about the damage foils was doing to my locks, but I ended up with a hair color that I loathe in attempts to improve it’s condition. I know she was only try to do right by me and my tresses, but it just didn’t work out. Not to mention(even with a gift card) I about choked when I handed over my credit card. Even a CEO would have a hard time justifying spending that kind of money. Sorry Museo. I know you’ve got a lot of dedicated followers so I don’t feel too bad about saying I won’t be back.

Ok, I’ll start with the positives; — The hair salon and spa is set into a gorgeous Federation Mt Lawley home. There are rich Jarrah floors, tall corridors, fresh white walls and expensive lighting. The hair salon certainly has a lovely sense of ambience about it. — It’s close to my home End of positives. Negatives: I came here upon recommendation, to have my hair done for a ball. Perhaps I hadn’t communicated my vision concisely enough but my hair came out VERY different from how I had imagined. It was rather upsetting, especially as I was hours away from attending a special occasion where professional photographs are mandatory. To add insult to injury, the price was outrageously $$$$$. I felt a deep pang of guilt when I had to hand over my bank card to pay for my underwhelming, overpriced hair. Now, I know a hair salon outcome really depends on the hairdresser, so I may have lucked out but still, be weary, I can only recommend Museo if you are cashed up and your vision aligns perfectly with that of your stylist.

Who doesn’t love to be pampered? I know I do! Museo Salon & Spa is among older style houses in the chic suburb — Mount Lawely. The outside definitely had me fooled, but as I entered this quaint salon, the soothing candles, scents and lighting instantly encouraged me to feel calm and relaxed. After a tough decision of which of their amazing packages to choose, I went for the Posh and Becks(3 and a half hours): this entitles you to a 30 minutes back and neck massage, refresher facial, express pedicure, shampoo and style blow dry. It is not extremely cheap, nor is it overly expensive; but us women and what we pay for beauty, that was no surprise; and Museo Salon & Spa made every dollar worth it! I was very impressed by their service that I brought one of my girlfriends the Marilyn Monroe package for her birthday, and she was blown away, I will most definitely be back here!
