I was a little confused a first when I walked into what I thought would just be Hobbs shoes but no, Hobbs and Picnic actually share the store space a bit of a bizarre concept but I’m happy to have both shoes and clothes in the same vicinity. Hobbs has a bit of a strange style to it with very trendy shoes at one end(they have a gorgeous selection of ankle boots) and then more of a comfortable and mumsy style at the other. I guess they cater for the same audience that Picnic does; slightly more mature and maybe more in the bank as well — prices are not very friendly here. Picnic has lots of light weight and jersey clothing, some very classical and comfortable and others actually stylish and cute. Some of their tops I would love to wear but unfortunately I just don’t think they are worth the price tag. Great place to come if you need and outfit and shoes to go with it and great convenience, if you don’t mind a bit of a splurge.

Picnic sells all the latest fashions and shares its premises with Hobbs shoes — so you get the best of both worlds. The only issue, as with most things in Mount Lawley, is the price. But if you feel like splurging then definitely give it a visit. Picnic sells dresses, tunics, cardigans, kaftans, pants, skirts, tops and accessories. Though from what I could see, assumedly due to the season, the majority of the shop consisted of light tops and dresses. Hobbs shoes line one wall of the store, showing off the season’s colours and styles — lots of orange and purple, crazy high heels and wedges. Picnic and Hobbs is a good place to shop if you want the latest fashions — and don’t mind paying for them.
