Being the southern most jetty in Coogee, I much prefer the ambiance here to the northern jetty. I’ve headed out a couple of times to have a picnic and watch the sun set. There are a few wooden poles in the water off to the left of the jetty and often they are topped with a pelican, striking a commanding silhouette as the sun goes down. The jetty is often buzzing with fishermen and keen crabbing enthusiasts but I’m happy watching the waves go by on the sparsely populated beach.
