If your after a greasy take away this is not the place for you! Everything was cooked in a healthy way. I was Very impressed with both the quality and the quantity of food here. My friend and I each had ¼ chicken but I had chips and Greek salad, she had 2 baked potatoes, roast pumpkin, peas and gravy.
Both were delicious and well cooked.
The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly. If I had to be picky the only thing I could say was that the baked potato was a little under done.
Oh and very reasonably priced.

This far out of the cities and you’re eateries become either a take away food shop or a strange strange restaurant.
I find myself in Murrumbeena and look for healthy signs of life. Lilydale Chicken is one of those signs. You trust it’s fresh, you trust it’s tasty.
Those who come in seem to prefer take away, and on a hot night such as this, the place is only hotter with the charcoal a burning.
The chicken is good and quickly brought out. Not so quick that you question it but not so slow that you forget what you ordered. The TV plays game shows, no one watches. The people behind the counter value their hard work over their customer service skills.
