Step back in time! This large café has the design of the old cafes from the 1930s but has the modern Bain Marie. It was established in 1919 however other than the prints on the wall there is little resemblance to that time.
This was a meeting place for the farmers who were coming to the markets, well the women folk and the children. The guys were at the local hotels and there is one on every corner in this town.
There is a wide range of food on offer and made freshly every day. If you are just coming here for a cuppa, drop in! If you are having lunch… there is even a roast on offer with all the baked vegetables.
Dessert — lots of cakes! It was a hard choice. I went with the date scones and they were magnificent!
