I ordered 2 pizzas for home delivery as the menu looked really nice. The pizzas were so tasteless and awful that we couldn’t eat more than 1 piece each, one of the pizzas had a large dough bubble in it with no topping on it, a few end pieces of a tomato scattered over it and very few toppings at all. These were not cheap pizzas and I threw them out, usually I save what we don’t eat for the next day but these were disgusting and a complete rip off, there was nothing gourmet about these pizzas.

Only been here twice and both times have had the Peri Peri chicken as it is crazy good. It’s on the pricey side for a pickup pizza($ 21) but I consider this an indulgence meal anyway so I’m happy to splash out a little. Staff have always been friendly and it’s always busyish so you know the produce is fresh. Flavours are always great and their ice creams are tiny but incredible. If it was a little cheaper I’d go 4 stars.

Ordered a pizza from here for an easy meal, ordered the Mediterranean Lamb. The Good: 1. Delivered 2. Tasty 3. Good combination of toppings The Bad: 1. Delivery a little slow, which I don’t mind, but meant Pizza was a bit cold 2,. Pizza had a bit of a mass produced quality to it Probably a busy night for them, so I would not think too poorly of the bad, but as someone who remembers what crust used to be I hope my next order is as outstanding as I know they used to be.

If you live in the area, want an awesome pizza and need it now, hit up Crust! The team working there are awesome, very friendly and will even draw pictures on your box if you ask nicely(seriously). Prices are higher compared to Domino’s or Pizza Hut, but the taste & quality of these pizzas are in a whole new class(not in the same class such as those I’ve had in New York or in an authentic Italian restaurant, but this is some really great stuff when you need a quick fix). Just so you know, this is not a place to eat-in. It’s tiny, so strictly takeaway and If you live close by, do pick-up as delivery will take 45min or so. I’ve tried many of their offerings, but my personal favourites are Peri Peri Chicken & a Margherita for that more traditional tomato flavour. Touching back on why I feel that the staff are so great — I’ve only ever had one time where I felt my pizza wasn’t up to scratch. I let them know(after finishing of course!), they refunded my entire order and gave me 2 free pizza’s next time around. They really went above & beyond the ‘standard’ customer service you will find around Sydney(as we all know, pretty much non-existent).

Crust Gourmet Pizza is a Syndey institution, some of the best slices of that Italian goodness around. In its blurb, Crust claims it’s big on healthiness and even has a gluten free option. I’d like to believe them, but with such a vast amount of topping on their pizzas it’s hard to. For what is predominantly used as a takeaway joint, Crust’s pizzas are of a really high standard though. You can choose special thin bases which are rustic and crunchy, or more standard thicker and delightfully filling thicker bases. There is a huge variety of toppings from the more standard like prosciutto and rocket to the more unusual tandoori chicken. Just like the other Helen M’s suggestion, I was most taken with the Peri Peri option. If you can’t make it to the Military Road joint, there are other strands of Crust around Sydney, restoring everyone’s faith in the takeaway pizza.

If you think Wagyu Beef or Smoked Salmon on pizzas is a bastardization of a sacred foodstuff then this place isn’t for you. This isn’t the authentic pizza that I tend to favour, they’re too heavy on toppings for that but the bases are thinish and crusty. The overall feel is a little more mass-produced than say Fourth Village but we’re certainly not in Dominos territory. The Peri-Peri chicken is yummo with its gorgeous bright orange sauce. I have no idea what it’s made from and it looks deeply unnatural but the flavour is really great. The Rocket & Parmesan salad is MASSIVE and I’m often still chewing away a few days later. They do a range of Healthier Choice pizzas but they’ve tended to be a little dry in my experience. If you’re having pizza go for it I reckon. Major letdown for this place is delivery time — which is pretty significant for a pizza delivery business. If there’s a sporting event on, particularly on a Friday evening then don’t even bother ordering. It’ll take more than an hour and half. You can order online or call the store but good luck. If you’re patient or if you want to go and get it yourself, then it’s well worth it.
