We had Japanese friends visiting so we brought them here just so we’ll know if this is legit. Haha. They initially don’t want to eat in a Japanese restaurant but we told them this might be a different Japanese.
They actually liked the food and so did we. It has become our go-to Japanese place whenever we’re in town.
I love the excellent service, and they serve the food pretty fast. And food has tasted the same the two times we were here. And they are soooo flavorful. Never been disappointed at this place.
Plus, the place has a nice cozy ambiance.

There are many Japanese restaurants surrounding Maido but what makes it stand out is that it is extremely reasonably priced
and the food is both fresh and consistently delicious.
My husband and I come here almost every week. The staff are friendly, the setting is simple and unpretentious and they offer dishes that surrounding places don’t. The Spicy Salmon Don is a must try.

This is the best Japanese in Neutral Bay. I love it so much we eat here a couple times every week, most weeks. The food is affordable, fresh and delicious. The staff are lovely, I always feel welcome and a few of the staff there know us by name and know what we order.
I usually get the agedashi tofu (i’m yet to find anywhere that can match it) and avocado thin rolls. They don’t serve alcohol but you can BYO, although I always get the sparkling fuji apple. So good.
Due to the small dining room I wouldn’t go with more than 4 people at a time.

Very nice atmosphere, getting better every time. Seen them from a café like place to a comfy place and enjoy my wine here. Food is really great taste. We visit less to other Japanese restaurant since we discover this place, almost visit every week.
Recommend to try the a la carte than set box

I love Sushi Café Maido. It seems very underrated to me. Meals are cheap ($ 15), and always delicious. Cosy atmosphere too! Good for lunch and dinner.
