got drawn here by e faces on e pie. decided to try it since it was e only decent looking place opened around e area late at night.
bought e happy face chicken + mushroom pie. e happy face pie didnt turn my face happy at all. pie was tad salty but still OK. not impressed and would probably not come back if i can help it.
just a no frills late night grub place.

The customer service is horrific as I live locally and on several occasions have come across rude staff. The food and beverage offering on the other hand is descent (standard pie face offering) and on all occasions I have been happy.

Pie Face is new to Newtown. I am pretty sure Elizabeth’s Bookshop was here before but that has moved down the road. There is already an awesome pie shop on King Street called Janet’s Pies. So Pie Face really needs to up its game. I went here because it was open late. One good thing going for it!
I looked for a lamb pie, and found everything else but. I ended up buying chunky steak and it was ok, the pastry was a bit floppy and it looked like it had been sitting there a while. Other kinds included chicken and mushroom, thai chicken, beef mince, tandoori chicken and steak and peppercorn.
There were also premade sandwiches in the window that looked like they had been made around 12 hours ago. And some unappealing looking cakes. There are a few tables inside but not too many. This place is definitely a let down. My first and last pie face experience.
