An Adelaide institution. Pork and more pork cooked to perfection and served with tasty sauces, but the boiled Veges and boiled rice sides were pretty ordinary. Great helpful waitresses and good friendly atmosphere. Great place for large parties. Modest but thoughtful range of beer, spirits and a more extensive wine list. Classic Italian cocktails available too but we didn’t try any. Good kids menu. Not sure what direction they are going in as the menu is headed modern Australian but largely seems to be Italian influenced currently. Go when you are really hungry after a hard days labour and put on the bib!

Visited whilst on a business trip I had the bug T bone it was great The bottle of Serifino Cab Sav was absolutely spectacular Myself and my two guests had a great night The waiter talked slot and was a little pushy– he almost ordered the bread for us. The wine list is extensive as you might expect in a state that grows grapes. I would give it another go.

Amazing! First time I’ve visited this place and I was impressed in every way possible. The atmosphere was lovely and comfortable. I ordered the chicken florentina which I’ve never seen before on any menu and I absolutely loved it! Strawberry daiquiri cocktail was perfect also. Definitely recommend this place!

I know people rave about this place, but I have to say that after going to my partner’s work do there I wasn’t terribly impressed. Firstly the wait was quite long, which means I had to endure listening to lengthy conversations with people I hardly know. I chipped in where I could, but I didn’t know my partner’s work colleagues all that well back then. When the food arrived it was really just… average. I can’t put my finger on it, but the prices just didn’t seem worth it for food I could have made at home for a much cheaper price, or had at a cheaper restaurant. I didn’t hate it, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I didn’t love it either. Yes the pig at the entrance is a nice little gimmick, but that’s really as far as it goes in this place.

A pig walked into a bar… oink(ouch)! You know the story of a dad sitting his kid down and making ‘em smoke a whole pack of cigarettes with the desire to turn ‘em off smoking? Yeah, theory doesn’t work with ribs… These saucy, meaty bones will leave ‘em wanting more. You’ll have ‘em asking for ribs at every restaurant, costing you a fortune. More restaurant than bar. Ribs, ribs, turf, surf, ribs: meat is the attraction. You’re fitted with a paper bib. I’d heard mixed reviews(ok bad), but this wasn’t our experience at all. Our meal was fun and enjoyable. Friendly staff. Good serves. Top ribs. Will be back. Particularly well suited for groups and kid friendly. The only beer on tap is Heineken.

Ah, the food here is amazing. Plus I love the pig on the door. Located on O’Connell St adjacent to the bakery, the Pink Pig is the place to go for wine and steak. It is fine dining and wining, although I’ve seen a couple of people more casually dressed. This place is so comfortable. The interior is nice and cosy. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much. Yet this place is one of the more expensive restaurants I’ve frequented. Their menu is quite extensive, ranging from steak to pasta, to vegetarian options and salads. I love their starters — the tzatziki and houmous dips are divine! Also, the grilled haloumi, nachos and oysters are good too. For mains, try the pork spare ribs or the roast pork scotch fillet — slurrrp, crackling. If you’re not into pork, I’ve heard the fillet mignon and chicken with seeded mustard are delicious also. I haven’t had a chance to try the pastas, but once I do I’ll get back to you! Hanging out for marinara, and spicy spanish sausage sauteed in olive oil, tomato, basil, mushroom and bacon. Yum yum yum. The salads are also really good, according to my mother and sister. But I’m more of a pork and pasta person, so yeah. They also have a really nice wine list; the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I believe the Pink Pig also has gigs every first Friday of the month. So get on it! The Pink Pig!
