I have been learning Spanish on and off here for the last 4 years. The classes they run generally are about 8 – 10 people but in my last class it was just four of us. This sometimes means that if everyone is away you get a private one on one class! The classes are fun and use a mixture of listening tapes, games and books. Going back on and off I have had a variety of teachers from Argentina, Mexico, and even an Australian(who lived in Mexico). If you get the Australian guy, you will learn the fun sock game for verb endings. They are also quite good in keeping you up to date if you miss a class they will email you the homework. If you miss lots of classes, they even check up on you via email(just like a naughty kid back in high school). They also keep you up to date with different Spanish events happening around town and organise a few of their own(think spanish bingo) I have tried one other Spanish school in Melbourne but they didn’t win me over and found El Patio more fun and easy to learn from. The best part of the School is that for the last class of each term the class throws in a little party with wine and food to celebrate.
