I made my purchase online as I’m in the US, and Rachael went above and beyond to give me the kindest and most personable service I have received in a long time. I’d highly recommend them as an online retailer, and were I in Australia I would visit frequently in person. Really a stellar experience.

When you look into the doorway, you may get confused as to whether it’s a women’s clothing boutique or a homewares store. Well don’t be because it’s both. I wouldn’t of gone in if it weren’t for my wife’s curiosity. But once we were inside, it wasn’t too much out of my interest.
Funkis has a noticeably Scandinavian influence in their clothing range, shoes (more like clogs), eyeglasses, jewellery, organic shaped tableware and supplying a brand like Marimekko (I know about this brand because we received their funky kitchenware as wedding presents).
The store was sparse, filled with light and the homewares colour coded against the wall. That got my wife’s attention as she loves colourful, well designed homewares. Everything was reasonably priced too. There also was a dinner table set out early with christmas décor and another table with nice organic jewellery pieces on it.
There was even a little patio out the back where you can sit and try on shoes (as the friendly sales assistant suggests) as well as a bookshelf near the doorway with a range of wallpaper which had cool designs.
A pretty eclectic mix of Swedish style. Worth taking a peek.
