Booked for 6 people for Mother’s Day. Was greeted by a very unhappy man who lead us to a 4 seater table squashed with 6 chairs. We requested to move. Then ordered a $ 22 platter pr cured meats and it came out with 4 types of meat and only 2 slices of each type! We ordered a garlic pizza with tomatoes, what we received was a pizza with a pile of diced tomatoes on top. And when we complained we were told«do not teach me how to make the food» by the same grumpy man at the door. Then received our steaks over cooked. Our chicken dish came with white potato instead of sweet potato mash another error. The Avocado cream sauce infused with white wine had chunks of Avocado in the sauce with no taste of white wine and the sauce was very grainy so you could easily tell the sauce was broken. The sauce also had no sort of seasoning our flavor. It seems the kitchen was more worried about getting the food out quickly instead of checking the product and actually made sure they where putting out quality. I Would never come here again. And would never recommend this place either.

Grabbed a group dinner here and overall food was good, not great. For entrée grabbed garlic bread and calamari. Ok. Grabbed the chicken skewers for main. A little over cooked in spots but not bad. Finished with an affogato which tasted fine but skimped on the ice cream and was not presented well. Ok but plenty of better options on Church St.

Came here for when they had the Dimmi’s special. This place is huge! There is more tables round the back. The lighting was also very bright. Not sure if they were understaffed but we had to wait a while for someone to notice us to take out order. Ordered the bruschetta for entrée and then pasta’s for mains. Bruschetta was good and the pasta was ok. By the time we finished out meals we had to wait to see the dessert menu, after 10 minutes i got up and went to grab a menu myself seeing as no one was in our section. Ending up leaving and not having any desserts. Since it was a Dimmi’s special it was a very cheap dinner. But i dont think i will be back.

Would/could go four stars. I had the lamb shanks, my buddy had the skewered lamb with fries. He loved his dish. The shanks were generously portioned with excellent flavor. One complaint, they were not fully heated through. Otherwise, very good in every respect. Service was attentive, atmosphere nice etc… Would go back, yes!

Good pizza. Came here for a weekend lunch. Pizza bases are freshly rolled, good size/freshness of toppings and served on a wooden paddle. A friend ordered the crab and lobster ravioli. The raviolis were huge squares, the meal wasn’t huge but presented well. The restaurant is pretty large, I would wager it’s much busier during the evenings, but nice and not crowded during the day. Service was good, drinks brought out, then breads then mains with a good time between. Never felt rushed(although the restaurant being half empty probably contributed to this). There is a happy hours between 3pm and 5pm each day where you can nab $ 15 pizzas, $ 5 beers and cocktail specials … Missed this time but could be good for a casual afternoon catch up. We had a good time and left happily full of pizza and coffee.

We had no issues with the service quality unlike previous reviewers. Friendly staff and prompt service. The food was nice and portions were relatively generous. I like the big both seating on the Church Street footpath… Always a plenty of characters walking past. $ 80 for two people for 2 courses wasn’t bad at all.

This is a great Italian in the heart of Parramatta their Pizza is wood fired and cooked in the front of the restaurant where you can see it, their Pasta is cooked perfectly and the sauces are amazing.

I have to say, I use to come here as a teen with my friends because you could never go wrong, no matter what was ordered, you’d always leave feeling full and satisfied. Really can’t say the same anymore! The last few times I’ve visited I’ve sworn it’ll be my last! A friend and I ordered two vegetarian pasta dishes and we both were really disappointed. Mine tasted funny and his tasted bland. It’s seriously over priced for what you get too. Definitely not making this mistake again!

I have eaten here a number of times and have always enjoyed their pizzas and pasta meals. They have a great selection of both on offer. The wine is reasonably priced and the décor has an authentic Italian appearance. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve updated my review as since my last visit the standard of service seems to have diminished. Waitress did little to pay any attention to us and ended up getting the order incorrect. I know it’s not the most exciting of jobs, but you are required to be attentive and friendly to the patrons — fail. I would think twice before returning.

Sicilian really need to work on their service. We dined here tonight after giving it another go after coming here a couple of months back and not everyone enjoyed the flood. After waiting over an hour for meals, we asked the waiter to check on it. Our order clearly never made it into the kitchen, so 20 minutes later we got our food — after speaking to a manager. However, of the 5 meals we ordered, only 4 were put through. We waited another 10 minutes for the final meal, which also happened to be my meal. It wasn’t worth the wait — I ordered the lamb risotto and I didn’t enjoy it. It may have been because I was quite annoyed at this point, however my sister also thought it was below average. I remember enjoying Sicilian years ago, but now I won’t be returning. Considering the other offerings on Church street and their food quality and service, Sicilian fails. It has been around for years though, but when you have a large restaurant group behind you, I guess it doesn’t matter about the attention to detail and the standard functions of a restaurant…

I went here on a Sunday with a friend at about 5:30pm and service was appalling. We were seated promptly enough but it went downhill from there. Our table had a candle on it to help set the mood, unfortunately it was not lit. We also weren’t brought water upon our arrival and even after asking the waiter for a glass of water, he delivered my friend’s cocktail and actually forgot about the water. I had to flag down another waiter before the water finally came. The restaurant did not have gnocchi to serve that night, but the waiter did not have the courtesy or thoughtfulness to inform us of this as we were seated, instead we were only told this AFTER my friend and I had gone over the menu and decided to order the gnocchi. We ordered the scallops to start with and they arrived in a timely fashion, tasted fresh enough, no complaints. FORTY minutes after finishing our entrée our stomachs were grumbling and our patience was wearing thin. The waitstaff were mostly aloof and seemed to actively avoid making eye contact with the patrons so that they could walk around without attending to their customers’ needs. It really shouldn’t take 40 minutes to serve a simple tomato-based spaghetti with meatballs, but apparently not that simple for Sicilian. After 10 minutes of waiting for a waiter to walk past, we told them we had been waiting A WHILE for our food, after a few minutes he sent over the waiter who had taken our order. He simply told us that it would just be a few minutes and was not remotely apologetic, almost annoyed that we had bothered him. The spaghetti finally arrived and it tasted more average than your standard jar of pasta sauce. The meatballs tasted exactly like sausages you could grab from Woolies. Nothing about the dish justified the $ 26 price tag in the slightest and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The restaurant was nowhere near capacity so you can’t even excuse their terrible service on being overwhelmed by customers. I wholeheartedly believe this restaurant should be closed down. It is a complete mockery of what a nice sit-down restaurant should actually be, with the same prices. I honestly felt really sorry for every group that stepped into the restaurant and wondered if they knew they were making the same mistake as my friend and I when we decided to eat there because of the nice décor.

A great place for a group, they have the room and the experience. They can sit over 300 people, I think they are the largest restaurant in Parramatta. I’ve only ever been there with a group of about 20 people, we went for a birthday party and had a really fantastic time. The food was great for function food and there were other parties being held at the same time. It was a very happy restaurant. You get everyday Italian food, there are several basic dishes which they employ that they then add things to to make it easy but the food is tasty and that’s what you’re after. We had Bruschetta, chicken and gelato while having a good time. The meals were all served together and we were there about two hours which was just about right considering we had two families with children. Perfect for a birthday party.
