Stopped in for a salad roll but walked out with a cheese and bacon sausage roll. Was your typical bakery with pastries, rolls and sweets. The staff are nice and the prices are reasonable.

I stopped by for the same reason I assume most people do, because I was at the Bayswater Train station and was hungry. I nipped across the road and went to the back of the little arcade. There was a great selection of deli rolls, pies, cakes and other deli foods, and all of them looked quite appealing. As I came up to the counter I was immediately greeted by two attentive servers. They were friendly, smiling and eager to help. One grabbed my custard horn whilst the lady grabbed my pie and asked if I wanted a bag or just to take my items as they were in their the paper bags. The total came to $ 7.10, but the gentleman rounded it down to an even $ 7.00. This was the second time I’d swung by this place and the second time he’d rounded my total down which simply amazes me in this day and age. The pie was surprisingly nice, and much better than your regular servo or blue-collar deli pie. As for the custard horn, it was without a doubt absolutely delicious. I scoffed it down, the whole time being astounished by the fact it was better than many big name bakery custard horns I’d had in the past. Springy dough and full of soft custard. It was definitely not what I expected… It was much better. It’s a great place to grab and run as you can’t sit-down anywhere, but to be honest, it’s not exactly in a location where you’d want to stay and sit around. So if you’re at the Bayswater train station or hub and feeling a bit hungry I highly recommend quickly swinging by and grabbing something to eat on the way. I enjoyed the service and food so much(for a second time) that I’m looking forward to –going a tiny bit out of my way so I can– run across the road to grab something to eat on the way home after work. *When I swung by on the way home after work the lady took $ 1.10 off my total. It definitely isn’t fancy, or gourmet, but the Bayswater Train Stop Bakery and Coffee Shop definitely serves it’s purpose well.

Sweet buns batman! I was ten minutes early for the train and decided to hop across the street to get some lunch bites. I stumbled into this find and am not looking back. The bun I had for lunch was the most delicious bun I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in as long as I can remember. That chewy, light, flavourful bun won’t soon be forgotten. The woman behind the counter was cheerful, and the pies in the heater in front of her looked waist-line-devastatingly good looking. Like, that perfect egg glazed on top factor good. There were slices and squares too. With such a conveniently located shop and such a good first impression I’ll have to venture back, often, to soon to see how the rest of the goods compare.
