I have been a customer of House of Ernest for over a decade, and in that time, I’ve never had a bad haircut or colour. The hair stylists are very knowledgeable and happy to make suggestions. They consider what will work best with my hair, and what I’m looking for. I’ve also used their make-up and hair-up services before special occasions. I liked the make-up on both occasions. I was a little disappointed with the up style because I felt I wasn’t really listened to, but that’s been an outlier in my experience. The IPL hair removal(«hair reduction») has been very professional and I’m happy with the results so far(after six sessions). The technician explained everything clearly beforehand and she checks how I’m feeling while she’s using the machine. And finally, the bio ionic straightening is the most fantastic, wonderful thing to ever happen to my hair. It’s increased in price significantly over the past 10 years but it is really worth the cost and hours it takes. I get it done yearly and it saves me so much time and hassle over the year in blow drying, straightening and styling. It leaves my hair so shiny and straight, and I just love it.

Feeling like a million dollars, hair done by Nicole and great head massage(wash) by Jamie. Great service, fair price for middle of city, and great result … did just what I asked for!

When these baby fuzzy little caterpillars above my eyes started turning into woolly Mama caterpillars, it was time to seek help. These eyebrows needed taming! Fortunately, I found a beauty salon near Ready Life(my physio) and they took me as a walk-in. The lady that did my eyebrows was incredibly chatty and became concerned when I had a red reaction to the wax. Instead of letting me look crazed and leave with blazin’ eyebrows she doctored me up with some in-house makeup. That is a step above service I was expecting. One less eyesore for public viewing! My only suggestion is prices have gone up, which their pamphlets have a sticker stating«See website for updated pricing». However, I couldn’t access their pricing from my iPhone. So, the $ 20 waxing was actually $ 25, big shocker for Perth… I know. I’d be concerned for other pricey services. And, I found their setup a bit weird as the waxing is across from the main salon. I sat on a couch waiting to be waxed while a woman was having her makeup done. We all know how women start opening-up to their beautician. I walked straight into a full-blown intimate conversation… I could have done without the eavesdropping, why else do soap operas exist?
